Candelario error leads to 7 unearned runs and a 12-9 defeat. That's it guys, Cubs Minor League teams are officially championless this year.

Sosa.... pre-roids maybe. That would be excellent if he could live up to Sosa's 93-97 form (minus the injuries) this will turn out to be one of the greatest signings the Cubs have ever made.

That'd be cool. I'm hoping for 1998-2003 Sosa as well :D

The Cubs and Boise Hawks have agreed to a two-year extension of their player development contract. The Idaho Statesman first reported the news today, and a team official confirmed. The Hawks have been a short-season Class A affiliate of the Cubs since 2001. In 12 seasons with the Cubs, Boise has qualified for the Northwest League playoffs six times, including each of the last two years.

The Cubs have yet to announce whether they will renew their PDC with Class A Daytona and Class A Peoria. Chicago has agreements with Triple-A Iowa thorugh the 2016 season and with Double-A Tennessee through 2014.

MinorLeagueSource made me think Iowa was up this year too, not my fault :fist:

Only thing left is when KC affiliation is official and then Daytona. Not many Advanced Rookie affiliates are available, and since there is a limit of 6 US-based teams and 8 total in any farm, we'd have to fold Mesa to do so anyway, so I doubt it.

Well the list is made up of a couple of groups just like the AFL roster was, except with more guys and guys farther down in development. Got a few guys like Arias, Peralta and Beeler that are all rule 5 eligible this offseason that they need to make a call on roster them and a lot more guys that were draft picks or signings the past couple of years with big names like Johnson, Vogelbach, Dunston Jr., etc. and the low bonus guys from this draft like Carhart, Bote, Saunders, Peralksis. Interesting list to get a gauge on how the Cubs feel about a lot of these guys. Seems to answer some rule 5 questions (Michael Brenly, Justin Bour, Rebel Ridling, Austin Kirk and some others that are probably going to be exposed).
