Castellanos was playing in the OF at the end of the minor league season some to begin with. It seems pretty clear that LF is his ticket on the roster since Cabrera and Fielder have the corner IF spots locked up for a while, and VMart is the DH for the rest of his contract. It wouldn't exactly be Delmon Young's spot though since he was the DH this year, and given his production and free agents status I think it is safe to assume he is gone.

Ah, I thought Delmon played a bunch of LF as well. Delmon sucks, is what I'm trying to say.

Good timing

* Congrats to Jesse Hodges (@TCHodgy), who hit his first professional home run, a two-run shot, in Monday’s instructional league game against the Athletics. The Cubs signed Hodges after seeing him play in the World Junior Tournament in South Korea. A Canadian, he had a full scholarship at Grayson College, a junior college in Texas. His home run was well-timed as he connected in front of Cubs international scout Steve Wilson, who signed the infielder, as well as Hodges’ grandfather, who was at the game, and most of the Cubs brass, including Theo Epstein. I’ll have more on Hodges.

This year it was about 30 games. Castellanos to the OF is a move that happened prior to the AFL since he played 51 games at AA in the OF.
