Try to focus...allowed a 29 pound window before correcting... sooooo no cumulative effect.

Still at 185 and I haven't met anyone but you who thinks that's fat for a 6' man. Had lunch a bit ago consisting off 4 scrambled eggs w/cheese melted on top, 2 fried eggs, 4 slices of bacon and a glass of milk. Don't know of anyone but you who would consider that starving.

I might have a smoothie after basketball with the boys and then, yes, just dinner which is gonna be a steak, broccoli, sweet potatoes and if I don't put my avocado for the day in a smoothie I'll have it right after dinner. I'll just kinda smash it up and put a tablespoon of manuka honey on it. I like it that way or just with salt and pepper on it.

now if you be eating a pound steak every night.... which is bad for you..real bad...... dats roughly 600-1000 (depending on cut) calories for a pound..if your eating a pound a night that is.. but youre probably eating 250 grams starving mo... another 1-2 hundo for you sides n roughly a hundo for the avocado.. roughly 1100-1300 for dinner or 700-1300 depending on the cut.. n even less if you eating 250 gram steaks

u is eating 1100-2000 (u is going 1100 if eating a pound of lean cut steak or even less depending on size of dat steak) a day...... since yo like dah science......at yo height/weight/age...just to MAINTAIN as YOU BE CLAIMING WITH light exercise be roughly 2400 a day.. so you is in deficit still...and should still be dropping weight and not staying at 185....... so what yo body does is make up fer it by eating musckles, storing fat n slowing metab.. its why u rebound so hard every winter.. u be need muscles to combat dat hard rebound

now if you be moderately active that number to MAINTAIN goes up to roughly 2700

Started eating coconut oil again. Best way for me is to melt 2 tbsp in a pan, pour into a cup and mix it with apple juice. Goes down easy and I barely taste it

that's a good tip. I like apple juice. Too much sugar to drink very often but when I do, I'll use that idea. I like to start a lot of days with a bottle of kombucha, on an empty stomach, and started to just pour coconut oil into it after taking a sip or 2.

that's 240 calories a day on my 2,146 calorie diet. Gonna make my cut quicker though so whatever.

Why am I not surprised your math is so off here? Like I said, I don't count calories and if I knew you wanted 2 I'd throw in the little things I also eat like a few spoonfuls of peanutbutter and spoonfuls of butter for both cooking and putting on my veggies and potato and what not but even doing a quick calculation of cals for the day including dinner to come, it's a bit over 2500 but I do understand the obese man's rule that says you should only count half the calories you eat. When eating high fat stuff, you get a lot of fat in by adding thinks like butter, oils and cheese to stuff so that would also play into the total and remember there are twice as many calories in fat than in carbs or protein. There's actually 275 cals in a medium sized avocado.

I eat til I'm full. That's me body telling me I don't need no more. When I eat an earlier lunch, I'll eat more at dinner just cause I'll likely be a bit more hungrier than if I ate a later lunch and only had 4 or 5 hours between lunch and dinner.

I never said I eat steak every night. Have it no more than once or twice per week. Most days are chicken. I like the breasts but eat a lot of thighs and legs cause of the higher fat content. Wife had other ideas for dinner so that got changed up. Wanted me to grill boneless chicken breasts and Italian sausage links and so I did that. I'll break the day down for my math challenged friend, Aussie

So eating twice a day is grazing while your way of eating from the time you wake til the time you sleep is not. Yes, this is the Aussie logic Ive become accustomed to.

My lunch was at 1 and dinner was at 6 and everything else mentioned was eaten in between. That’s still little more than a 5 hour window. My body has plenty of time to regenerate since I’m not spiking insulin levels all day long like the gluttons. Wife even requested a family walk around the lake after dinner (approx 2.75 miles).

Yeah, actually suppose to keep carbs below 20g. That's the hardest part to get used to. You can easily exceed that with 1 beverage or even 1 sandwich alone. A lot of people use stevia to sweeten up a drink or smoothie and lettuce wraps for sandwiches.

You guys are still arguing this? Not everyone's body's are the same. Different methods work better for different people. Keto sounds like Atkins in limiting carbs, and eventually it's easy to pack that shit back on for me. I prefer eating six times a day (breakfast/lunch/dinner and 3 snacks, roughly every 2.5-3 hours, with one snack being my after workout shake) with consistent exercise. Has always worked best for me and doesn't have me obsessing over whether I'm eating too many carbs or limiting this or that. I do try to eat a lot of protein rich foods, but I don't count calories or grams or anything. Just eating a healthy portion works wonders. Generally, I make a meal plan for the week because that's how I stick to it, and I can see if I'm having a larger dinner, I can go with a lighter breakfast.

Everyone's body is pretty much the same, if we're talking about humans. There will always be the few exceptions to the rule. Studies have shown the body benefits most when insulin levels are spiked less often and grazing throughout the day has long been known to lead to weight gain for most. Of course, I don't know what you eat.

You are correct, Keto is a lot like the Atkins diet but came long before it so the concept behind the Atkins Diet was not something Dr. Atkins thought up on his own. His Diet did hit the mainstream before Keto though and it noted the need to keep carbs below 20g...at least for the initial phase of the diet then you could slowly add more as long as you were still losing weight and choosing the more healthy, complex carbs and still avoiding simple, processed carbs. He also felt more saturated fat than protein would be a healthier way of eating since an excess of protein is simply treated the same as carbs by the body, another concept taken from Keto.

keto definitely benefits from the overwhelming success of the Atkins diet though. More questioned so few carbs and so much fat that the diet called for so there were many studies that turned out favorably for what Dr. Atkins was pushing. Keto is still more stringent with the carbs, not relenting or allowing more in after a couple of weeks like The Atkins diet, but Keto is more concerned with net carbs (total carbs-Fiber). This is considered a big improvement over the Atkins diet cause people were concerned they weren't getting the needed nutrients fruits give them. It's also what made the Avocado the Keto king cause it is extremely rich in many nutrients, even offering more of the most important electrolyte,potassium, than the sugar filled banana does. The avocado is also very low in net carbs while being very high in fat so it falls in very nicely with the macros Keto wants achieved. Keto also calls for even more fat over protein, looking for a more specific number of fats to protein to carbs. The macros would pretty much look like 70-80% of daily calories in fat, 20-25% in protein and just 5-10% in net carbs. It does allow for carbs to be added around workouts w/weights but the philosophy will call for just cardio til at your optimal weight. Keto also has the Intermittent Fasting thing. While hitting the macros is going to get the body to burn fat rather than just sugar, going for longer periods of time in a fasted state is going to allow more stored fat to be burned while also giving the body time to repair cells and hormones. So it's not just about losing weight or eating right but also about preventing degenerative and chronic diseases because Ketones have major antioxidant and antiinflammatory effects.
