It's all about the food you take in and the amount. Nothing else matters til yo get that under control. Ain't got no alts but if yo want me to throw some science at yo I can.
It ain't so much about calories in and calories out and whoever came up with the idea of eating 5-7 meals a day had to be trolling fat guys like you. The science is clear on it. Insulin is a hormone that is released every time we eat. Insulin breaks carbs down to glucose, fats to fatty acids, protein to amino acids. Insulin stores all of this, does not burn it. The burning and releasing of all that is stored happens after insulin goes back to baseline level. That happens about 4 hours after you eat and spike that insulin level. When it returns to baseline, Glucagon then kicks into action and takes what insulin has stored and releases it into the bloodstream to be used as energy. By eating every 2 or 3 hours, you never let the insulin drop to baseline before spiking it again so you give it a backload while not giving the glucagon enough time to do it's job of releasing what is being stored. This is how you continually store fat until you are obese. So doing the same thing and expecting the opposite result is extremely petarded.
In a randomized crossover study, 1 group only consumed 2 larger meals per day while the other group consumed 6 smaller meals a day. Both groups had the same amount of calories but the group eating only 2 meals had both significantly lower insulin levels and blood glucose levels. Those eating only 2 meals also had an increased resting metabolic rate.
