If this was a first round pick’s 1st start, we’d say this was impressive

Good start by Bagent though. Raiders are a meddling defense, not great but not bad. He did a lot of things fields can’t or doesn’t. I hated the second half game plan. Shocking, I know.

They actually are pretty bad if you look at Dvoa.

Crosby is about the only real threat.

Th eye also played like it. Missed so many tackles

I'm not reading this gay thread, but if [insert QB here] is checking down it's "not seeing the field," when Tyson Manning does it, it's impressive.

Difference is he won. When you do it in a loss you’re a noodle armed pussy

I guess I just don’t get what’s so wrong about patting a Division 2 undrafted rookie QB on the back for having an impressive first career start.

First career starts:

Patrick Mahomes
22-35
284 yards
0 TDs
1 INT
76 passer rating

Joe Burrow
23-36
193 yards
0 TD
1 INT
66 passer rating

Josh Allen
6-15
74 yards
0 TD
0 INT
56 passer rating

Tyson Bagent
21-29
162 yards
1 TD
0 INT
97 passer rating

In what world isn’t that impressive for a first career start, let alone an undrafted rookie? What’s dumb about giving that guy props?

I looked at rankings and didn’t dig into it, they’re like 21st. They’re 3-4, etc.

I think an UDFA rookie from a D2 school in his 1st start might have lesser expectations than Justin Fields. Feel free to disagree but common sense is common sense
Unfortunately, common sense is not easily attainable from what I have seen……

You can't seriously just look at the stats alone and define what was impressive or not without a single drop of context.

He barely did anything all game. Dude was Kyle orton out there.

He ain’t shit the bed, or turn it over, which I expected. Props to him on that, but the way the raiders were tackling any rb would have a great game.

Notice I said rb, because that’s why we won the game. And defense. Shocking, that is a formula from years ago

Yes, objectively he wasn’t checking down because he looked lost, it was either by design or necessity. I.e, not taking sacks.

It was a good game plan to once they went up. You could see the raiders offense had no shot at scoring.

That makes life pretty easy for the opposite offense.

Next week will be interesting vs the chargers. Let’s see this kid playing from behind
