Dude you have no fucking idea what I do, so don't make such an ass of yourself assuming things. I'll give you a hint: On Mayday, 2007, while the media was having a ton of fun with the illegals protesting, I was out on a major street corner with a sandwich board urging our government to close the borders immediately and calling out the lazy, uninterested people who sit by and pretend like our country being overrun with illegal trespassers is no big deal. I am also active in writing legislators, voting, and attending rallies. Don't be so sure about who posts on this board.

Really your writing legislators, have you successfully sent any back yet? Or do you encourage making them become citizens and at that point sending them back?

And on your sandwich board I hope you didn't use the facts in the original post.

How about we refocus this thread again and have someone post the main argument here and we can attack it with facts and stats instead of each other with personal shit. What is it exactly we would like to debate in this thread. We've hit a lot of different things in the same argument. But we've went form Immigrant costs to crime in mexico.

I'm sorry, was I not supposed to interpret this post as you saying you are fine with the crime because they are poor and live in poor neighborhoods? Crime is fine if you have brown or black skin? live in an impoverished neighborhood? What exactly were you trying to say other than: "look at the neighborhood, no wonder they are wanted criminals"?

Precisely, wash uffize drive me to firenze.

Tough shit! You don't like the way your country runs, do something about it

The illegals here did, they left, and our government does nothing about it, there seem to be bigger issues on hand to the people who run the country.

Sending people "back" at this point does nothing but cost our nation more money. That money is ultimately wasted because they come right back in. Until the borders are closed, this is useless. You have to stop the flood before you can dry the carpets.

The original post started with bullshit so the thread delving into bullshit is no surprise.

Yeah, they have more pressing issues which can be summed up in one word: VOTES.

Yea, L.A. is 50% hispanic. And it would make total sense that there most wanted would be lopsided towards Hispanics, they live in worse neighborhoods, are responsible for a large portion of the gang activity, in turn those in the gangs will commit the most gruesome/destructive crimes and become the most wanted. Those shopping on Rodeo Drive and hanging out in Hollywood aren't exactly inclined to kill people.

Look at Chicago's most wanted. Look at the impoverished neighborhoods, it speaks for itself.

Read what you just posted again, and then think about it for a couple minutes. You are saying that impoverished people, and people coming from impoverished neighborhoods, are more likely to commit crime? Yes, this is true the large majority of the time. What kind of people do you think are coming here across the border from Mexico? It sure as hell isn't middle class people. It is impoverished people, coming from poor, overpopulated Hispanic countries south of the border....

You do realize that pretty much every large criminal organization in this country can be traced back to poor immigrants coming over from other countries, right? Russian, Italian, Chinese, Hispanic, Irish, Jamaican, it doesn't fucking matter. All of these criminal organizations are started and MAINTAINED by unsavory characters who came into this country illegally. These are people with nothing to lose, people with unscrupulous morals, people that are DESPERATE. People that think nothing of BREAKING THE LAW in order to get into this country. Even those coming over here with honest intentions, are often smuggled over BY GANGS!! They are paying criminals to get them across the border! And you want these people to continue to be able to come into this country, unchecked and unregulated?

I don't know what to say.

The argument devolved from a monetary amount to whether or not they have any rights to be here or not. If people want to argue about the cost being in the $300 billions a year, or if it is only $100 billion per year does it really matter? Every dollar spent on this crime is $1 too much.

Bingo! Close the fucking border with Mexico. There's a reason that doesn't happen though, and it is ENTIRELY political. Nobody wants to be the guy that closes the border with Mexico, and loses pretty much every Hispanic vote in this country in the process.

I don't know what to say.

And you do realize years later they are welled established groups in the U.S. I don't know what to say either, we aren't gonna agree on this issue cause you can't convince me that these people are criminals.

And to me same goes for MANY other issues.

The criminal element is just one aspect of the argument, albeit, a rather important one. Bottom line is, our country cannot support these people. They are a drain on our economy, and they are costing us taxpayer dollars. They contribute substantially to crime in this country. Simply put, there is no benefit from keeping our southern border as open as it is. Do I think we should be sending all of these people back? Absolutely not. We need to close our border, and we need to do it VERY soon. Then we can start dealing with the issues of the illegals that are already here.

Let me present you with an analogy. You have a family. You have a wife, and three kids. You are making as much money as you can possibly make, and your family is just barely getting by. You are up to your ears in debt, and struggling to put food on the table. Your wife and you are both working 12+ hours a day to get by, and your children are largely unsupervised, and getting into trouble. Do you have four more kids with no obvious solution to your problems? No? Then why do we keep letting people into this country?!?!

What other countries in the world have immigration problems? How do they deal with it, do they have closed borders? Not everyone can afford to come here.

Many countries have closed borders. You know what happens when you wander into their land? You get shot! I suggested that as a solution to our problem but people accused me of not being humane.

The issue is accessibility. It's just too easy to get into the United States through Mexico. With so many poor, overpopulated countries to the south of us, we get them all...

I don't understand the "not everyone can afford to come here" comment.

I think he meant that it is much easier access, as you also pointed out, when you live next door and can hop the fence. People who want to come here illegally from other nations across the sea have to take a boat and pay money.

Which reminds me, I didn't comment on it before but I have been thinking: People who claim that their grandparents came here illegally in the 20's, 30's.....really? I don't know what the immigration procedure was but Hollywood would make you believe you took a boat and landed at Ellis Island and were processed legally. I don't think they were handing out tourist visas back in those days, but I could be wrong. In any case, I can assure you that the process to enter the country and stay here legally has surely changed since then.
