A 2-2 pitch instead of 3-1 makes a big difference. Tough call on the check swing, but those are tough to judge.

All offenses are streaky. It the nature of hitting. The key is OBP where the Cubs are tied for 2nd with the Pirates. If you're on base all the time you will score more often than not even when the bats are cold. That and having a variety of guys that can get hot at different times.
