He just got the cast taken off 3 days ago, so rehab is about 3 to 4 weeks which would put him mid june before he goes to wherever they send him to get ABs and get back into playing form..

Why would he wait 3-4 weeks before seeing ABs? If the cast is off he's healthy enough presumably.

On the game cast they were talking about a game from 67 between the cubs and phillies that was 23-22 with a crap ton of hits.

They may not, but just like the Cubs getting another needed TOR, the Mets sorely lack hitters. It's going to cost both teams a top player and/or top prospects.

Rehab... physical therapy. ..
You dont just come out of a cast after surgery and pick up a bat.. he needs to strengthen, etc the wrist, arm , shoulder
Everything he hasnt used since the surgery. ..
