Where's that #RickettsCheap guy now?
Where's that #RickettsCheap guy now?
First the dig...told ya 20% as reported by the media
Secondly
Congrats!!!!
Pretty sure they'd be rejoicing......
They've wanted the cubs to spend money and be competitive the past 3 going on 4, and now they have......
Or are you just being 'that guy.'
Its time for what? Lester isn't the cherry on top. This team still has holes and still has one of the most dangerous teams in baseball to leap frog in their division.
Its a damn good start though.
Then why did San Francisco offer 7 years, 168 million? The Red Sox low balled him and played with his heart strings. The Cubs added a 7th year option and sold him on the prospects. It wasnt your 20 percent nonsense. lol
Lester and Maddon are great additions but nobody will impact our organization like Kris Bryant. The dude will make Mike Trout look like Felix Pie.
So...I don't really watch baseball, how good is Lester?

They didn't. It got clarified this morning that Lester did take the biggest offer on the table. It was 20%. Added much more cash and added an optional year. I am totally lost why you can't show any objectivity with this.
Depending on the prospect that isn't a bad thing.ZOMG can't handle this. ESPN is saying the Cubs could look to send a top prospect to land Justin Upton, Jordan Zimmerman , or David Price.
However, Bryant is obviously untouchable, and they can't see the Cubs trading away Russell either.

Per MLB Network (10:00 am Wed) Giants offer may have been tops financially, including a 7th year.
So are the cubs going to be good now? Honest question. Haven't watched the Cubs in 10 years.
