Hes not going to completely replace him, but will help fill the void...

your angry at Stalberg getting signed because all he can do is skate fast, but the Brunette, who has proven to be a facotr in multiple aspects, you still hate...what would you have done different?

What a blatantly obvious question. Everyone knows Bowman should of done reconstructive player surgery to place Stalberg's lower body onto Brunette and buy out the remainder and eat it's dead weight salary.

does he do any right to you?

There is a reason he is the GM and your sitting at home on your computer

I got half of this.... Stan got hired .... the other part of the question, frankly has me stumped.

but you and icehog are sitting at home, and stating that stalberg didnt get top line mins and that is why he didnt produce. but maybe coach q sees that he isnt a top 6 forward. 2 can play this game.
yea ok....Q knows more than I do, so what?

If Q sees him as a bottom 6 guy, I would trust him more than what I thought...
what stat facts? the 18 goals? cmon now....if you are going to play, play hard.
read through the thread...icehog posted comparisons of brunette with his other lines and when he played with and without Koivu...

you still havent given us any statistical excuse as to why you think Brunette wont produce more...

there is nothing to say he is going to produce more, nothing! what dont you get? Just because he is on a better line doesnt mean he will produce more. Do you and icehog not see regression charts. look them up.

look at brunettes career stats...he is as consistent as it gets...what do YOU see that would lead you to believe that this is the year he will finally regress when he will be on a team where he will have less ice time on the 2nd line (rather than skating 1st line minutes in Minn), and where he will have better players to both set him up for goals and players who will be in position for him to set them up?

Better teammates tend to make you perform better. Pretty sure that is known across all sports.

Quarterbacks are better throwing to talented receivers.
Sluggers see better pitches when another talented player is behind them in the lineup.
NBA scorers can light up any scoreboard when someone can get them the ball in the right spots.

Why should hockey be different? It's a team game?

Could his age prevent that? Sure. But considering the fact that Brunette has missed just TWO games since the NHL lockout, I'll bet he takes care of his body rather well and his age won't catch up with him yet.

as I have stated he is not here for goals, look at his career stats, he can set players up. He is slated to be with Hossa, stop acing like joecawks and stop worrying about goals. The guy is a playmaker, who uses hi body to score powerplay goals.

Yet I talk about him setting people up, and you only talk about 18 goals, why aren't you bringing up assists dewey?

The differential of talent between comparing Line X ( MIN ) and future Line Y ( Chi ) whatever that may be, is very slim % wise. Doing the math, if there is no regression AT ALL, no injuries, and plays on a combination of the top 6 that are being thrown out there. scenario 1: has him a +2.23 goals and a +4 assts. Scenario 2: +1.76666 goals and a plus 2.214 assists. Those are the top 2 combinations of top 6 lines. This is being that there is no regression whatsoever, no injuries. This is how slim the numbers are when broken down beyond face value.

He goes from Koivu & Miettinen to Sharp/Bolland and Hossa. Screws goals all he needs are assists, which is what he has done is whole career. His goals will come on the powerplay

coming from the same guy who said that tomas kopeckys numbers where inflated because he was on a line with hossa. which is it dude? you cant have this argument both ways and change your style for each debate.

Hossa carried Kopecky, we seen that whn Hossa went down, what does this have anything with Brunette being a producer his wole career?

Where are you getting these numbers? Just by comparing the stats of Line X to Line Y.
