When Atkins was first popular, I went low carb and had success.
After adding back weight, I went low carb again, this time while South Beach had become the more popular, less fat version of Atkins.
Once again, after gaining weight, I am going low carb, this time during the Keto craze.
In none of the cases have I followed a strict prescribed diet. I just avoid carbs as best I can. This time around I do want to get more guidance on Keto and try to stick more closely to something prescribed. But in all cases I have had success.
I have been reducing carbs for about a month or a little more, and I am down close to 20. I have not tried the fasting, but may do that as well. I am not as into the "macros" and all that as some others here, but perhaps I need to be. Still learning about the Keto.
I initially signed up for a "plan", but when the first week called for Brussel Sprouts for breakfast, I went freelance and made omelettes.
Good luck to anyone out there working on losing weight.
