I rather have the 1st round and 2 2nd round draft picks. Use one on the best avl Edge and another needs to be used on OL.

Youre saying it was forgivible to draft Trubisky, but a sin to trade for Mack?

Mack was Pace's best move.

The GMs job is to go get talent and win. Mack was/is talented. Trubisky not so much.

Pace's job was to identify the right QB.
And waiting for the QB to "show it" makes you a bit late to the party IMO - you draft this fucker at #1 overall, you have a window of 3-4 years of hopefully close to Superstar level QB play for insanely cheap.

Houston pushed the chips in with Diggs/Hunter - we could be a year earlier than them with it by giving Caleb a combo of Keenan/Parsons if this is even remotely real.

This is partly why the Packers have been unable to get over the hump - sure they developed their QBs but quickly have to pay them so there's little economic advantage of the rookie QB for them. Parsons + Sweat and our back 7 & Eberflus is the best defense in football.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
that's the problem with Dak, regular season stud. playoff dud
They need to trade him to the Raiders get an obscene amount of draft capital for him and take a shot on someone else. They're never going to win a Superbowl with him.

You all should live in reality like me and dream of Deone Walker in the first round and Jack Sawyer in the second of the 2025 draft.
We’ll get there. I can’t do draft stuff just yet

Houston pushed the chips in just to likely end up as a divisional round loser again. And Diggs is gone next year, not to mention the massive headache that he is in the locker room. Bears need an interior pass rush more than another $30million per year DE.

Parsons would be incredible regardless.

What would Parsons even cost? At LEAST 2 firsts, and then 35 million? Jesus.

Keenan is likely gone after this year too. That is a clear win in 2024 move.

Turning 2025 picks into a 2024+ difference maker and HOF level talent going straight into his prime would be incredible. Parsons type players never hit the open market for a reason. The rest of the defense would benefit from him + Sweat massively.

That's up to the coaches on what they want to value. Poles has tried to go find the interior guy, but the guy they need may not be available. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Championships have been won with stud DEs. Ideally yes, an Aaron Donald type guy in the middle would be balls but if you can't get it a stud DE is a pretty good get.

If you can't get deep enough up the middle, bang the hell out of the walls....

Mack was good for us. Trubisky was not. If Pace had drafted Mahomes Bears probably win a Super Bowl.
Unlikely. Issue was not so much Trubisky but the team around him. Mahomes struggles just as much in Chicago with the support system or lack there of that was in place.
