@Adipost do you have a clip of the pass down the sideline to Graham? I think it was on the second Bears possession of the game.

A full clip from pre-snap to end of catch? That was a really nice play design to get Graham open.

I wouldn't worry about that. Let the chips fall where they may but I would not be putting myself into a situation with the same team that tried their best to ruin my career.

This ignores the fact he is severely limited as a QB.

4M was not drafted to run bootlegs and playaction as Fedora did very little of that at UNC.

So partly his fault that he sucked at the very thing that got him drafted ie running a heavy shotgun and RPO offense.

Patriots might like someone other than Newton next year.

The problem with this is the Patriots dont have a play action and bootleg O. Part of the reason Cam has sucked. Not to mention their RBs suck as do their WRs. If BB wants to get back to a Brady type offense he is going to need someone smarter than 4M.

Nay sir
That is still Jay Cutlers spot untill the king of bears qb's is dethroned
That's funny, because I know a punky QB who took the Bears to a Super Bowl. A man that would say, "fuck it," and launch that joker deep.

That man is the King of Bears QBs.

Holy crap! You meant Rex?? I was on board with Jim McMahon. I am with @truthbedamned here; no disrespect to Rex and the fun he did deliver off and on.
You didn't get the "Fuck it, I'm going deep" reference? I know I I stole the punky QB bit and put it towards Rex, but I thought the second part was a dead giveaway.

I actually did miss it. I'm on no sleep.

I thought mick was the number one Rex fan but you have him starting on the All-time Bears team. Wow, I disagree but I always was pro-Rex over safe and boring Neckbeard. I only hated one Bears QB in my life and that was Cade McNown.

It would be completely disingenuous for either of us to say its a definitive yes or no. The only times I felt we had a competent enough quarterback in my lifetime was Orton and Cutler. Neither of them were ever handed a team worth a shit to truly compete with. Whether you're talking about the people they're throwing to or the people protecting them.

Mind you even I am omitting Trubisky from this list. Because I just don't know. He kinda does have a decent set of playmakers but the offensive line was dogshit for years too. I just don't know.
That’s fair

Here’s the thing tho @sevvy and @xer0h0ur: is there any QB in history besides Mitch that the Bears drafted who you think would have been a star with another team? I think they just suck at evaluating QBs, Mitch included

In reality, it's probably a combination of the two. The Bears are a terrible QB destination, and we have no idea how to evaluate QBs. Which means we have dogshit at the QB position forever.

I really think that the best changes we could make, don't come in the draft or on the field at all. It's ownership/management/GM/coaches. Not that ownership is ever going to change. But it would be cool if they sold the fucking team. Ted Phillips really needs to be fired or re-org'd. We're a professional football team with silver spoon idiot rich kids and an accountant running the show.

Harbaugh
He is the epitome of how far the Bears will go to keep from having a good QB.

Am I the only one alive that watched Jimmy Mac?

I was there.
