Lol I probably won’t watch too much next year- no point. I did that a little during the John Fox years and it did wonders for my sports mind.

I'm excited to see our young offensive talent grow, specifically monty/mooney/kmet.

You know what's so great about Pace and Nagy staying? They know that 2021 MUST be a successful season, or they lose their jobs. So what they'll do, is mortgage the future for 2021. They'll dump future picks for bad trades, and make a bunch of desperation moves with only 2021 in sight. Fuck 2022 and beyond, because if they don't go 9-7, it's all over for them.

And all of that will set us back even farther. In 2022, a new GM and HC will come in and inherit a complete dumpster fire, and have to work that much harder and smarter for the next couple of years to just get us to kind of break even again. We should be ready to contend by about 2026, though. I can't wait for the 2026 season.
The Lions did this. Skipped on a QB with pick #3 and got a fucking CB.

Its basically a sure thing Pace will find a playmaking offensive skill position player at some point in this draft. He's very good at that.

2020: Mooney, 2019: Montgomery, 2018: Miller (he was for a while), 2017: Cohen, 2016: Howard and even in 2015 he got a half season of decent football out of Jeremy Langford. So I wouldn't spend too much time lamenting a lack of playmakers, between whoever Pace drafts and the return of Cohen the Bears will have more explosiveness on offense even if Robinson II leaves.

Oh yea I mean if that makes someone happy to watch more power to them, but I just don’t really feel like spending my Sundays watching a Nagy coached team. I know they won’t win much. I’m not giving up my fandom, just choosing to spend my time wisely lol. I’ll come back to it in 2022 when they’re both fired.

My favorite teams

  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Indiana Hoosiers
  2. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
So serious question, if you're Nagy how do you right the ship? Most importantly, how do you fix your pathetic offense?
He really can’t with Foles as quarterback and no offensive line

Pray number twelve in Green Bay breaks his collarbone week four and waltz to eleven-ish wins and a division title. The Lions and Vikings are in an even more pathetic state than the Bears, if Green Bay falls off the North should be a fairly easy win.

Aside from that I dont know. Sneaking in as the seven seed then getting blown the fuck out isn't going to keep Nagy and Pace around another year.

They’re not going to find a QB and probably won’t be able to build an O line with the cap situation that will suddenly make this team look special next year or even competitive against the Packers. Everyone in the world knows that 2021 is going to be a wasted year and delay the inevitable reset

I really hope they don't go all in for 2021 since they figure they need to win or they're fired. Don't give up draft picks, don't overpay FA's. More than likely they will be fired after next season anyway. No matter what they do to this team this offseason, it is not going to be anywhere near enough to come even close to being competitive with the schedule we have next season.

Bingo. Get ready for a lot of big money, probably trading draft picks, and loading up on all the big names they can. This rarely ends well and will fuck them over big time in the long term.

FROM THE ARTICLE:

"This is where the game officially turned in my eyes. With 1:49 left on the clock, the Bears decided to run the ball with running back David Montgomery, getting five yards and causing the Saints to burn a timeout. The play call worked well since you gained yards and still stopped the clock, knowing the Saints could not use another timeout if they got the ball back prior to time expiring. The Bears now could dictate pace and mount a sustained drive that, at the very least, would result in a field goal to cut the deficit to 7-6. Instead, head coach Matt Nagy opted to call another run play to Montgomery that resulted in a three-yard gain. They let the clock run instead of rushing to the line and calling a play, then called a run-pass option (RPO) that saw backup running back Ryan Nall run into a wall for no gain, resulting in a fourth down. The Bears punted to end the half. This was the moment to turn the tides and make a game out of it. The Bears had plenty of time and timeouts to work with and didn't attempt one pass and let the clock run. What's worse is using your fourth string running back in a playoff game instead of Montgomery or even Cordarrelle Patterson. Nagy played scared and clearly didn't trust quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, or his offense as a whole for that matter, to drive down the field and score points in a two-minute situation"
