Working out at home & karate. Cut out fast food & junk food.

More water & eating healthier. My body feels even better.

Despite my oldest sister telling me i'm in pretty good shape. (before I started doing this)

She's really happy that i'm taken better care of my body.

I've lost 20 pounds since March. Mostly do bodyweight exercises (As I have never been fond of gyms so I work out at home). I have an elliptical at home as well which I use to cardio basically, however have pretty much quit doing that. I feel I'm in the best shape of my life right now since middle school. I even climbed an mountain in Alaska when I was there (3500 feet), so I feel I've been doing pretty well. Now if only that stubborn fat on my abs would go the hell away, I'd be completely happy.

for the last 2 weeks, ive really slacked on hittin the weights.

Same here. I started getting really bad tendinitis in my left wrist. Took a break, feels better now. Need to get my ass back in there. Starting to feel like a slob even though it's only been a few weeks.

I'm following my normal pattern. Sign up for a gym, go there for about 2 to 3 weeks and get sick of it. I'll continue to pay for it, and then the cycle will probably repeat itself come October.

It doesn't take much man. Exact same situation. I did a leg workout last week after about a 2 week break and it felt like I hadn't touched a weight in 6 months for the next 3-4 days. Still haven't hit upper body yet, but fully prepared for not being able to raise my arms above my head the next day.

Gotta get back this week, **** this shit.

I've actually been gaining weight....on purpose.

I started out at 208 and got down to 195. Did that by hitting the cardio hard, and watching what I ate. That was about 8 weeks ago. Now, I'm back up to around 210-212 with heavy weight lifting and increasing my calorie intake with better food. Still do cardio but not as much - just to cut fat.

Nope, that's why it works. Same premise as CrossFit, as you improve your fitness you do more work in less time. As long as you can maintain the intensity, that's why the shit works. On average, a neighbor will come check on me and ask whether i need an ambulance about once a week as i lie in my driveway after a workout. Its a horrible 20-60 minutes of life every time i work out, but shit, im in the best shape of my life.
Given a steadily increasing income, good market investments, and advances in health care i figure i should make it to about 165-175 years old.

Im fine hurting but after I did the arms and shoulders and other weights I couldn't move my arms for a week lol. Maybe I am using too much weight?

Yeah scale down either weight or reps if you're that sore. I don't see an issue being sore for 2 days, but you should be able to function still.

Something I call the day after the day after. You are typically more sore two days after your lift. A week though.... you may need to take your weight down. The most important thing to remember when lifting is that you are competing against yourself, not everyone else in the gym. It is easy for people to see other people who are working out and become unmotivated because someone is doing so much more weight than someone else or running so much farther. That doesn't matter though. Set attainable goals and increase as you reach your goals. Remember that fitness is something that should be done the rest of your life and not something that you pick up for a few months then stop doing. I know I kind of rambled but this is the stuff that I am studying in school so I try to help people out when I can with what I do know.

I need to drop about 25-30 lbs, getting back into the swing of things tomorrow. Gonna ease back into it instead of going full blown workout/lifestyle change.

I've just cut down on the fried foods and eaten more salads lately...gotten out of the house and done something active 2-3 days a week...dropped 10 lbs over the last month or so. I'm @185...would love to get down to 165.

I busted my ass on Tuesday/Thursday (earlier today) and checked the scale and have already lost 5 lbs. I'd like to drop 25 more and seems like I am on the right course!

Don't go too crazy and quit because it isn't working though either.
