Either they were not asked to do much except not screw up or they really sucked.

That's a jumbled mess of numbers so I have no idea what this is even ranked by. The only thing I can tell is passer rating because of the decimal point (and that Wilson and Kaep are higher than everyone else). If it's passing yards, who cares? These guys are about quality, not quantity. They don't throw for 5,000 yards and lose 12 games like Matt Stafford.

lol, what? With no QB? Not sure is srs.

Lol. And why not? They are stacked all over with depth and pro bowl worthy players at every single position but corner and center. You obviously haven't watched the niners either. Theyre a run first team... And to those saying the cap is jumping up, that's not a good excuse. No ones getting a deal close to that besides luck, newton, or Wilson and they won't get deals until after the season as well.

Read the first line of the post. It is ranked by yards per game.

WAT? People pointing out the cap is going up are doing so because QB contracts will be higher at that point making these current contracts for "good" quarterbacks a relative deal while not completely hamstringing the teams that gave them out. For some reason people can't seem to separate market value from performance when it comes to QB contracts.

I understand that. But if Wilson gets this same contract first, that would drive Kaps down. You act like the first guy who signs is going to make 26 per year. It won't happen so sharply, but over a couple years.

I don't presume to know how much the average yearly salary will rise over the next two years but I would suspect that Luck's contract will be larger than Wilson's despite Wilson having won the SB. Particularly because Wilson's contract is for 4 years from 2012 and Luck's has the 5th year option which I would suspect the Colts would happily pick up.

kaep deserves it. In the short amount of time he has started he really shows up in big games. Hell his first game which was against us he really looked good.

I personally think Kaep is highly overrated and most QB's in the NFL would look better playing for the 49ers. A stacked defense and a strong run game makes the day much easier for any QB and he is in a pretty simple offensive system. Kaep has looked mediocre at best when having to play catch up and getting away from the run game, but thats just my opinion.

Every starting QB in the NFL that gets a new contract will be getting more next offseason. Thats how shit works, even without the cap going up to 160m. Are you feeling alright? And your idea of 9ers doing anything without a QB is just Special person.

Why do people act like having talent around the QB is a knock on him? Fucking stupid. Name a consistently successful QB with no talent around him.

That shit is a prerequisite, not a knock.
