My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
And if LeBron can't do it with Wade and Bosh, you know Rose needs help.

lebron can't do it period.

Rose was on an island by himself.

I don't blame him at all.

Thibs did what he had to do to limit turnovers thereby stopping Miami's transition offense. Rose had to take bad/difficult shots because that was the Bulls' best chance to beat the Heat.

If Jordan didn't have Pippen in '92 or '93, would it have been his fault that the Bulls lost against the Knicks? It's the same story with Rose losing to the Heat without a second play-maker. He's not at fault. If Joe Johnson, for instance, was Rose's teammates, points would come 500% easier for Rose and those other 3 guys. Bogans/Brewer/Korver just doesn't work.

The only thing I will blame Thibs for is playing Korver instead of Watson.

I'm sorry rami, I just don't see it this way. Rose had to take difficult shots cuz of the way miami played him. And thibs did nothing to change that.

Understand, in no way shape or form should a teams best offense consist of bad or forced shots. That's the fault of the coach.

That's the fault of the GM and the Heat defense.
Not the coach.
Not the players.
Not the best/only great player.

James didn't shoot cuz he wasn't open. Thanks in large part to marion. He did miss some shots that he made in the chicago series though. And I don't think marion stopped lebron. But he did an amzing job on james. With the help of chandler and haywood until he got injured.

Truth be told, the reason dallas won was cuz james got ate up by terry. And for whatever reason, wade didn't defend jose juan. Cuz dirk really didn't shoot all that good.

And I'm telling you james didn't "shut down" rose as if he defended him on his own. Not that I think it matters. Cuz as I'm starting to notice from you. You don't really care about proof. Unless it comes from sam smith. Maybe if sam smith told you james was the sole reaon for roses troubles you believe it.

I sense you getting defensive about james. Maybe a little man-crush? Lol.

Go back and look at some of your nonsensical claims about Pippen and tell me about man crushes...Rodman too...way over the top.

Dirk hit big shots when it counted...that is what I am talking about. Nobody could stop Dirk on the Heat team and in crunch time, whether he was having a good or bad game, he came through constantly.

And yes, James did shut down Rose...you continue to bring up Sam Smith...the truth still hurts huh?

But here is Adrian Wojnarowski's take on it...and he is not a big fan of Lebron's by the way

"Now, James marches into Game 1 of the NBA Finals with devastating playoff carnage left in his wake. Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki(notes) has been the most spectacular scorer of this postseason, but James has been the best player. He’s defended four positions on the floor – including an absolute shutdown of MVP Derrick Rose in the Eastern Conference finals."

The New York Daily News (they don't like Lebron over there either)

"Twice, Rose had a chance to win the game when all he had to do was beat one man. Twice, he failed."

NBc Sports Online...

".....Like have LeBron James guard Derrick Rose with the game on the line. And according to ESPN’s stats and information, it worked really well.

'After going 0-for-5 from the floor with a turnover when guarded by LeBron James in Game 4, Derrick Rose struggled against him once again Thursday, going 1-for-10 with two turnovers in Game 5. Rose shot 6.3 percent from the floor in the series when defended by James, lowest among any player that defended him on five or more plays.'"

So my question to you brother...what the hell were you and your friends watching? You gotta get HDTV man! Lol...

Man how bout we go through some of the games together. This is a clip of the 3rd quarter of game 1. The bulls ran 7 plays. 6 were pick and rolls. And the heat trapped every time.

do you know how to multiquote someone

copy and paste the first quote thing [in brackets like this] to the beginning of the part of the post you want to quote and then the end quote thing([/quote]) goes after the part of the post you want to quote

You are missing the point. When Lebron guarded Rose he shut him down...you really need to go through the whole series to learn that? I am making it easy for you.

And the Heat changed strategies AFTER game 1, so looking at Game 1 is pretty much pointless...

Rodman is just saying stuff we all already knew. I really hope Reinsdorf and Co. make a splash before the season starts. We are missing a lot.

So what your saying is from game 2 thru 5 james played rose exclusively by himself. They never trapped the pick and roll right?

James didn't stop Rose by himself just like Pippen didn't stop Magic by himself.

The lakers never used the piick and roll. And even if they did, not as much as thibs did. Besides. Pippen really only guarded magic in game 2. After jordan got in foul trouble.

I'm trying to look through some youtube vids to see if I can find the actual games. Not just highlights. And Ill find them. But it won't matter cuz heff is stuck in his ways.

The Lakers did use pick-and-roll and that has nothing to do with the matter at hand anyway.

Do you really think that Pippen could shut down Magic on his own?

In Game 3, the Lakers' offense thrived off of the Pippen-on-Magic match-up and Divac took over the game.

I don't see how pippen should even be in this conversation. But no. I don't think pippen could "shut down" magic on his own. But I do think he'd probably have the most adverse effect on him as well as jordan. Oh and rodman

What I and everyone else who was awake is saying is that WHEN Lebron guarded Rose...WHEN he guarded him...he shut him down. Totally shut him down. Lebron went to his coach and said "I" will guard Rose...not "we"...not "Wade and I"...."I".

And Pippen gets a lot of pub for how he played Magic Johnson...the way that he guarded him wouldn't even be legal in today's game. But Scottie didn't do as well against Magic as Lebron did against Rose.

If Scottie forced Magic into shooting 6% when he guarded him, you most definitely would have heard about it. Magic was bigger and taller than Pippen. Lebron is much bigger and a half a foot taller than Rose.

Look through all the tape you want...all of you will have to swallow the medicine...Lebron whupped Rose's ass in that series. Plain and simple.
