Skille scratched for Scott. Wow. Retardation. Hawks were lucky to get two points tonight. Not really a good game from anyone. A win is a win. **** it. Sharp and Hossa carrying this team.
Hossa was good

Sharp was good

Seabrook was good

Bolland was good

Kopecky was good

Bolland 68% in the circle and a great goal.

Seabrook +1, two points, and a fantastic pass to Hossa for a break away goal

Sharp, what can you say TWO GOALS!

Hossa, his usual dominating self.

Kopecky, doing the dirty things, and yet another point.

Very happy to see Bolland do something positive for the first time all season. But, he would've had a second goal later in the 3rd if he simply stopped in front of the net as opposed to skating past it. Rebound ended up right where he was a second prior. Funny, I spent all week teaching my peewees this simple lesson in hockey 101.

Well you could have at least left your contact info so Bolland could sign up for your program.

As a team, no, but most certainly individuals had good games. Until Q finds some consistency it could go on like that unless they play other teams playing poorly like last nights Jackets.

I hate to say it and make sure you get the extra thick rope when you string me up. (yes I know it's still early) but I think the press box is the best place for skille. I'm just tired of it. He doesn't look bad, but it feels like it's just not going to click. It's like Tyler Arnason without the bad attitude. You can see that it's all there, it just never comes together. Now obviously I'd rather have him out there than Scott, but at this point I think we could get as much out of a new guy who is stuck in the A. I know I know it's early, and he's only played 35 games, and this and that. Yeah I know all that, but it's just a feeling I get with the kid. I wanted him to succeed when he first came up, it looked to be there, but all his short stints have almost made him look worse and worse. But he hasn't got these opportunities, and he hasn't got that, meh. I don't care. He was number 11 and that's my favorite number so I was ready for him to breakout, but you know what, he's been around the NHL for going on 4 years now, and he just doesn't look any better than when he first came up. And it's not like he's a top ten player in the AHL. I just wish that we could have shipped him out somehow in the moves and maybe could have kept someone.

As far as Turco goes...great game but he needs to cool it with the puck playing. He was getting far to cocky with that puck and low and behold it cost a goals against....you could smell it coming.

2 points is all that matters. Again I am not 100% sure if the Hawks deserve them tonight but who cares.

p.s. i stand by my comments about Seabs 1st period tonight..it was horrible.
Some thoughts:

1) Turco played very well - kept hearing those around me saying how much he sucks after letting in 2 goals. We had 20 shots on goal against us in just the first period! Turco seems to be the evil stepmother and I think it will take quite a lot for the average Joe Shmoe to be won over by him. People still seem to be ticked Niemi isn't here.
I am always destined to enjoy the play of Hawks that "suck". I was stoked to get Campbell from watching him play with Sabres when I lived in D.C.

And we all know Campbell sucks.

Now? I am SO stoked to watch Turco from watching in his Michigan days and secretly watched games and highlights of Stars games.

And now Turco sucks.

Wow I love the ignorance. But I can see their point... 38 of 41 does indeed suck... Which one of those goals was his fault? Ok, arguably the first one since that was a pretty rough rebound to give...

I have yet to wear my Turks jersey to the UC. Now I can hardly wait to do so. But thankfully I am so self-centered...

Turco did that in the preseason though. It's his game. You live by the sword, you die by the sword.

First period maybe but he made some excellent plays, two of which lead to goals.

Ooo, I think you might be disappointed in that, in my opinion, he HAS cooled it down with the puck playing :). But I do agree, you cant just throw the boys at a goalie like Turco cold. He needs to give the D time to adjust.

It is part of what I like about watching him...you just dont know what he might do. Sometimes? It is a bad giveaway. Other times? It is a tape to tape shuffle pass to kane on the blue line...
.927 sucks....
HAHAHAH!

The one thing that the average fan, hell even the hardcore, will have issues with is that he will let in some goals that you just shake your head and wonder if he was even watching.

Then he will come up with some incredible saves, like, well, tonight.

Campbells return should bring some stability to the D. Some consistent pairings, more even minutes and negate the musical chairs they are playing right now.

It takes time for everyone to find chemistry let alone playing huge minutes, double shifting, and having multiple partners even during the same games.

That should start to get the shot count against down. Until then they are going to look out of whack at times. This is an aweful lot of minutes to be giving Keith and Seabrook to start the Season.

The vid just came through. I will NEVER forget that save. To save the shutout on Tony O night?! That might be the best save I have seen live.

One of the greatest saves I've ever seen as well. Khabi had some spectacular saves but would allow some of the most baffling as well.

OT but Conklin had one very similar to Khabi's tonight against the Stars.

Who I might add are 4-0.
