...This team has lost all concept of team defense...

I don't think anything more than this needs to be said. My 27-year-old son has been saying this all season, and he's right on the money....

Well, the defense looked pretty good against the Sharks. The problem is, which defense is going to show on any given night.

Our top four COULD be one of the best in the league, but they sure as **** aren't this season to this point.

Look no further than our defensive corp (core? LOL) if we fail to make the playoffs.

It was the wife's birthday yesterday and we both have an affinity for Colorado, well thank fucking god we didn't fly out there like I wanted to. It was bad enough on TV watching Keith and Seabrook play hot potato with the goat horns all night only to have Seabrook wrestle them away with vengence the last 2 minutes on TV. I couln't imagine watching that abortion live.

On the plus side it was nice to see a lot of secondary scoring and look at what happened when Q put Keith on the 1st PP. Cullimore also played a real solid game.

Maybe. I'm just not sure what the definition of "'Cup Hangover" is.

Is it possible that certain players are still blinded by the shiny new ring? Sure.

Maybe they just have a hard time getting up for regular season games. I can understand that.....It's hard to care about a Monday game in Colorado after playing all the way 'till June last season.

But at some point, they need to get their playoff faces on.

I just hope that that when the time comes to shift into another gear, they aren't too far behind all the other horses.

Agreed - I thought Cullimore would be a weak link in the armor this year but he's really done a nice job back there and has performed decently in his role.

Turco being Turco...

that is all.

Yeah, sure because Crawford fared SO much better behind his D.

Doesn't matter who's in goal if the D is going to give the opposition a mile to shoot the puck, not tie up sticks in front of the net and lose board battles.

DAMMIT!!!! How'd I miss that one!

I tell you what, though. Seabrook is not helping his next contract negotiation with a shitty season like this.

Hawks ought to try and lowball him right now.

Yup.

But Blame Seabrook for it all. How anyone is to believe this team won the Stanley Cup is beyond me. Wait, THIS TEAM DID NOT WIN THE FUCKING STANLEY CUP!

PART OF IT DID.

Seabrook was beyond brutal at the worst possible time.

That cannot be argued.

Worst possible time from a game standpoint and from Seabrook's financial standpoint.

Really?

How about they lost half thier team? That explains a lot.

+1 to both of these posts, LOL!

Turco didn't give up 2 goals in the final 3 minutes of the game to lose the lead and the game. Not that his defense helped him, but I'm "just saying".

without a doubt, but it was not only him.

Oh no, but since he was the last one without a seat when playing Defensive Musical Chairs he's going to get the brunt. Lest we forget Keith giving the Avs the puck, or Sharp standing in the crease with his thumb up his ass for the 4th goal, or the entire team being mesmerized by Douchane. Garbage, pure garbage.

EDIT: And once again it wasn't the new guys/slugs either, it's one thing if it's Boynton, Scott, Hendry, Cullimore, etc getting burned, but it was the team's best players. That's the worst part aboot the whole thing.

Fine, it's one game, throw it away but we've said that an awful lot already...tick tock.

The D was terrible last night, this needs to be fixed, one of the things that made us so damn elite last year was our defense, just about every GM and coach in the league wanted our six Dmen. The top 4 stayed the same and the 3rd pair remained roughly the same in terms of talent.

As for the Crawford/Turco discussion. I like Corey better I think Corey makes the better saves and really I think if Turco continued to play the game last night we would have never seen the lead.

I am not blaming Turco for those goals I want to but they weren't his fault so I won't but I think Corey comes up bigger more often
