SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like Q isn't getting the message through to the defense on this team.

And yes having Kane and Hossa out is def hurting this team on both ends of the game. Our PK sucks without Hossa and so does team defense. And our offense def has little creativity going with both guys out. But at least they generate a few chances...and Toews is playing great hockey.

Sucks balls though this team defense right now and our blue liners. Not getting much offensive help from the blueliners either are we? Campbell needs to start upping his offensive game. Hammers a lost cause he hasn't lived up to potential this season at that end of the game. Keith keeps shooting into skates, Seabs is so focused on correcting his defensive lapses that he has show very little confidence at the offensive end of the game. Boytnon? won't go there it's not part of his resume with this team. Culli? Actually created a goal tonight..crazy. Hendry? Been an offensive dynamo lately lol. Things are backwards.

But yah having the guys we have had out is certainly creating a spiral effect. Bickels been great though.
<

P.S. Officiating has been bruuuuutal. Linesmen suck too.

Blah I don't even know what I am talking about. All's I know this team has been frustrating with it's up and down play all season. Whatever the excuses and issues have been its been a frustrating start to the season. These guys need to get to the all-star break then readjust and go balls to the walls. Otherwise playoffs may be a hope not a reality.

I agree about officiating.... but Keith has been on ice for 7/11 goals and Seabrook 6/11 in the last two games by my count.... yea, not gettin it done there.

Also, I haven't even NOTICED Campbell out there.

Time to split them up again? I think so. Both have been bad. Nice shot block tonight by Seabs though. Does it make up for the other blunders and being out of position? Not a chance. I really think the officials and that piss poor improper call on Hendry really helped **** this team up tonight (and yes it was an elbow but again call it when it happens). Sucks that they couldn't get through that adversity though. Really needed Hossa for that PK if you ask me.

Campbell seems to be regressing since the injuries to Hossa and Kane otherwise he was fine since his return (fines not really good though is it?). I have been hoping for a different pairing for Campbell to be honest the last hand full of games. I loved him and Hammer together last season as they balanced each other out nicely, but it's not exactly the same fit this year for some reason (even though Hammers defensive game has improved since Campbell came back..thank god). I don't see either guy playing with much offensive confidence at all though and one of those 2 have to..it's Campbells job really.

Just seems like the issues with the team is never constant just like their play. That's the frustrating part. They just never seem to get it together for a long stretch. Injuries certainly have fucked us though since it did appear the team was coming together before both the two top guys went down. Now they look disorganized again. Didn't think the team could sustain itself through the long haul of these injuries it was bound to bite them in the ass and I think the last 2 games have been direct results of it.

One of the best defensive corps in the league last year, to one of the worst. One of the best PKing teams last year, to one of the worst. We have pretty much the same fucking blueline as last year, so what the **** gives? I knew as soon as they called that penalty on Hendry that we lost this game. The team just doesn't overcome adversity in games this season. I'm actually happy I'm going to miss the game Friday. I need a break from watching our 20 million dollar defensive corps embarrass themselves every night.

My question almost exactly after the game. Who are the missing, Sopel? Is that enough to turn them in to mush. Now I will add we lost a SHIT LOAD of defensive forwards. Some of the best in the league. Versteeg, very good in his own end. Madden, one of the best in the league. Frazer, another great defensive forward. Ladd and Buff, also both great defensive forwards.

That is the answer in a nut shell. No one is helping them out. Take the first goal for example we have four guys back their two guys walk through all four like they arent even there, score the goal. Goal #4 weak sauce by Crawford. Just after we got the game within one.

Again the Officiating plays an outcome in the game. That was a BULLSHIT fucking call, NOT EVEN CALLED to begin with on the ice. 2 of the last 3 games the officiating has fucked us. Tonight right before Hendry is called the Avs could have been called for hooking and holding three times in the offensive zone, no call.

Fucking brutal.

The forwards we lost don't help the situation. HOWEVER, all four of our top four are playing below their potential right now, and well below the level they played at most of last season. No question there.

Doesn't matter if the other three guys on the ice are not playing in their own end. Period.

I'm no expert but maybe it's because Seabrook and Keith played in the Olympics last year therefore playing from essentially October to June then celebrated then boom right back to hockey in September. Plus they(especially Keith) have been playing tons of minutes so far this year and the Hawks have played more games than any other team to boot.

We'll see if detroit wakes this team up or shits on their chest. Unfortunately, it looks like it might be the latter.

If our forwards don't start helping out the D we are fucked. Friday could be very ugly.

The Hawks were playing fairly well other than 1-2 break downs up until the point of the Phantom high stick bullshit. They do not handle adversity that well, or have not as of yet.

Normally I absolutely under no circumstances blame officials, because ultimately there are thousands of other things that determine a hockey game but the referees of late haven't helped. Ironic you mention 2 of the last 3 games we got fucked over and both games it was Van Massenhoven's crew (San Jose and tonight).

Team defense right now is our downfall, and the PK NEEDS to be better, being in the bottom third of the league in that category is unacceptable with the people on this team.

Wow I just watched the replay. That officiating crew should be fined! It was his fucking glove. It was NOT even a fucking penalty.

Wow!

Does the league even look at this stuff?

It's almost as if the league just hangs its on the game being too quick thereby being a perfect excuse for officials missing calls.

zero accountability

They have always said they do. There is supposed to be a league NHL Official at every game and they are supposed to go over tape after the game. I have zero belief that ever happens. They are out of there far to fast IMO to ever look at tape. I go with the theory you have, Zero accountability.

Now that I have watched the replay several times I can honestly say THAT CALL and the fucked up call on Stahlberg, should have been 5 minutes from behind, and the no calls just before the fucked up one on Hendry most definitely played an out come in the game. Just as the NO GOAL cost them two points in San Jose. Anyone want to cry about Dallas being fucked again? Because we've now been fucked in 2 out of 3 games.

I don't think I've ever seen Koci win a fight. Although, hes not the type of guy I'd like to fight on the street, on the ice is a different story. Its probably a combination of his poor balance that allows opponents to take advantage and beat his face in.

I do admire him though, and feel bad for the guy. Hes an awful hockey player, no doubt, but his willingness to go out there and embarrass himself every night... probably not easy on the soul. It takes some guts to be the end of many, many, many jokes.

True, just ask MassHavok.

Not to mention, the guy left his feet to hit him from behind.

The whole game it seemed as is guys were getting mugged/held/hooked with no calls. It looked like 1987.

Damn i never did think of it that way but yeah all the forwards we lost were pretty damn good in their own end and that seems to be the big difference so logically that has to be the main problem.
