I think the turf in Atlanta helps with his returns. He can hit the hole faster, so no juking in place. Also he can run across the field and outrun the defenders before he cuts upfield. Seems like he could never outrun defenders when he ran across the field on grass.

still, makes his performance in Chicago all that more impressive.

Watching Hester in Chicago was a helluva ride. And I've glad someone like him took the record away from Neon Sanders.

Cant watch that shit. Breaks my heart.
Now I'm even more pissed at the return that was called back against the Rams last year...Huge congrats and props to that kid..He wasn't washed up in Chicago, his talent was obviously wasted..Glad it was against Lovie
Smith....

Just imagine what his return numbers could have been had he been drafted by an indoor team with good a good core blocking unit like we had for years, yikes.

Hester was butt hurt about Lovie, was asked to return and said he didn't want to play O here under Trestman. He also seemed under a lot pressure from fan ridicule and appeared to be 2nd guessing himself. Tentative. He's gone for good reason but it's great to see him re-energized and breaking the record. It's funny. When 1/2 the fans that know ball said he should be in the slot and take some balls in the backfield from day one, it takes a few coordinators and a change of scenery before somebody actually takes advantage of his skill set without asking him to do shit he's not so good at.

He's kinda breaking bad on the Bears now. Not cool

And he needs to learn to speak remedial English.

Does Devin speak English?

When he was here, I was't sure he always understood it either. Devins best with an easy way to get the ball in his hands and then point in the correct direction and there's nothing wrong with that.

All those years under Toub. He should be very greatful. There's a lot of teams that wouldn't allow him to be close to the record.
