So then Rodman was better than any player who didn't win a title? GTFOH. I would take Malone, Barkley, Garnett when he was with Minny over Rodman any day. Those players were alpha dogs. Rodman was not on that level...stop the madness. Winning is a consequence of who you play with. Barkley, Ewing...those players were all time greats without rings. As I stated often that Lebron James was an all time great with no rings.
The fact is Rodman won. Barkley didnt. Bringing in others players makes no sense because this is a Barkley/Rodman comparison

Pippen never won MVP. Period. Never won a finals mvp. Never did win DPOY.
Barkley never won a championship much less six. He didnt have the heart to. Pippen didnt have the chance to win MVP. A legit chance

Please stop with the "most people feel Pip would have won MVP" nonsense. You don't know most people...and you don't have much ammo to back up that claim. I have pointed out numerous times that better players like Kobe Bryant didn't win MVP based on the team's standings. Pippen's team was 3rd in the conference. If I am not mistaken, the 3rd best team's best player has won MVP once since the writers started voting...Jordan. And Pippen didn't have that type of year. So that would explain a little bit why Barkley didn't get more consideration. If you actually did homework you would know these things. Again, learn the damn league's history. Learn basketball!
The Bulls had the fifth best record in the NBA in 94. No player hhas ever won the MVP with the fifth best record. The Bulls probably move to at least third if if 0ippenthe doesnt miss those 10 games. In which they went 4-6

Hakeem had a better year, was the better player...and had a worse squad than Pippen did. Pippen wasn't the best player in basketball that year. I watched the league that year...evidently you didn't.
If the MVP were awarde to the best player in basketball, Jordan would have at least 10.

The stuff about Pippen winning MVP over Jordan in 1996 is even dumber...give me a break.
Im just repeating what Jordan was saying. I guess you know more than Jordan

I cant really blame you for your views on Barkley vs Pippen. You think small. You seem satisfied with having a player just score points and lose. I like winners

SEE WHAT I MEAN EVERYONE?

He questions all of us expecting answers, but can't do it himself.....It would be too painful for him to actually say that Barkley would be the number 2 guy on Jordans team.....L M A O !!!!!!!!!!!!!! He just can't do it, because that would contradict everything he stands for.
Especially all the bullsit "Pippen was only number 2 on Jordans team" crap he tries to sell all of us in his main judgement of Scottie Pippen's status..

Who's acting immature here?......................what's wrong with Hue admitting he's wrong about somthing....................Talk about a fucked up ego for someone who isn't even a celebrity or professional athlete....Lebron James ain't got shit on good old Hue, Lol....

How convienient that Hues name has been on this threads viewer list for the last 2 hours, and then mysteriously disappears as soon as I pop the big question.....AGAIN!!!!! .Well, then, what can I say people?....

Jordan also stated continuously...year after year that Barkley was MVP worthy while in Philly. What happened is another story. Truth is, Barkley's best years were in Philly. Pippen couldn't touch those numbers on his best day. Again, stop the madness.

Jordan Lobbied for Barkley to win MVP? Come on. Can you back that up?

I never said he lobbied for Barkley to win...he stated that Barkley deserved consideration. Jordan said that about other players too. Can you imagine Jordan stating that he deserved it and nobody else deserved consideration? Jordan plugged Barkley to the press often...maybe because they were friends and Barkley was a great player. But I never noticed Jordan having a problem giving props to other players. That is you all's problem.

I know you are an idiot...but do you have to be so loud about it? Good grief man, give it a rest. I have stated over and over again that Jordan was the greatest ever. So any player would have been second to him.

However, that doesn't mean that any player that played with Jordan wouldn't have been capable of leading a team to a title. Barkley was more than capable.
Which is why teams were built around him. A lot of great players lost out because of Jordan. It is what it is.

You are the one who has a problem showing facts...always have. Good job by the way of regurgitating another poster's arguments from months ago...can you come up with any legit argument on your own?

By the way...please stay off of my page for pete's sake. Being on this forum is rough enough with you spreading your stupidity around...don't need it on my profile page. Thanks.

And Jordan stated that in 1993, Barkley was the best. Does that mean Barkley was a better basketball player than Jordan...not at all. Jordan gave props to a deserved MVP. Barkley was magnificent that year and in previous years...again, Pippen couldn't touch those accomplishments.

Six Championship Rings.......Barkley couldn't touch Pippens accompolishments.......

That is unless his ego would allow him to be humble enough to be Jordans number 2 guy like Pippen gracefully did, while knowing he was good enough to be the man on most NBA teams........Barkley couldn't even get out of the West with Drexler and Hakeem on his team.......Had he understood chemistry, they could of easily faced the Bulls in the finals instead of Utah......Barkleys selfish ego=0 championships......He had more than his fair chance.....6 rings equals more than any of his accompolishments......

Pippen couldn't win a title when he played with good teams...without Jordan. He played with all star players...better players than him...and lost. It is what it is.

What?
When was that?
After his six rings, severe back problems and over the hill?
Ok I see.....
If your reffering to pre 2nd 3peat Pippen, its obvious to the whole world that the Phantom Hue Hollins call pretty much dictated that in 94....and for the 95 team, we took a major front court blow loosing half the bench and Horace_Bill and a few other front court bench bigs which was replaced with suck ass Larry Krastoviac, who stayed injured like RIP........Plus we lost bench depth because Tony Kucoc had to be our starting forward most the season.......IT IZzzzzzzzz Wut It IZzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

Well Pippen has accomplished things Barkley cant touch eiither. He leads all forwards in assists, is one of only thhree players to lead his team in every major statistical category. As well as the six championships.

Actually, I am talking about Pippen's team with Portland...the team that was up 15 on LA in LA in the 4th quarter...and lost. Kind of like they did twice in that 94 Knicks series. If they win ONE of those two games...they most likely win that series. But there was no Jordan to bail them out...

Thats cazy talk. HE WON SIX CHAMPIIONSHIPS. BARKLEY HAS NONE. And Pippen played an integral role in winning those championships. The Bulls dont win without Pippen

They probably don't win 6 without Pippen, but I guarantee you the Bulls without Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen as a leading scorer win multiple titles.

I don't get it. I think we all agree Pippen is a Top 50 player of all time at least. I'm not well versed on NBA history, so me being a :homer: I'd put him in the top 30 of all time. That said, I don't think I'd want to start a franchise with Pippen. As well rounded as he is, I don't think he put up the points a franchise player needs to. Not saying he's a bad player for that, its not his strongest suit.

I remember that painful game.
The refs went whistle crazy on Portland in the fourth like I've never seen before....must of been some sort of Laker free throw attempt record or somthing..........Wasn't Hue Hollins a member of that referee crew too? Maybe I'm wrong about that, but I could swear I remeber Hue reffing that game, or maybe it was another......doesn't matter,
Didn't the refs cater to the Lakers in the Sacremento series a few years later also?

:deer:

Huh?, but Pippen was a good scorer though.
Inside the circle, outside the circle and in the paint, fast break.
The man could score in so many creative athletic ways and did.
He was leading scorer both bulls seasons without Jordan.
And he also made scoring look easy, while making sure his teammates got plenty of the pie.
He was a playmaker, scorer, rebounder, defender, and everything else all in 1.............

I lol everytime someone posts that Pippen wasn't a good scorer......that's a bunch of B.S....
I can't count the amount of games he scored 30+......Pip rarely scored under 20 in his prime...and he accompolished that while on a team with a guy(jordan) who averaged 30 plus every night.......How can Pippen have possibly score more than 20 points average a game.....he was busy setting up his teammate Michael being part of a winning formula......

Jordan=motor
Pippen=transmission...

You need both to make the car move.....

:obama:

Oh yeah, your too young to remember, but there were more than a few games when Pippen was leading scorer while Jordan was on the team too......How about 1991 game 5 NBA Finals.....Pippen:32 points, Jordan:30 points.

Basically Pippen lead the Bulls in scoring on the day the Bulls won there very first championship......FACT.
