I mean of all sports baseball is by far the longest to turn around.

Wrong.

There are plenty of teams who have lost 90+ games and turned around and made the playoffs next year.

It is puff, puff, pass.

Not puff, puff, puff.

And how do you think the Cardinals got there? Years of building up the farm system. Then when those players were called up, they continued to do the same thing allowing them the flexibility they have now. They didn't just magically become the best organization in baseball.

Tell me again how they came to acquire Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, David Eckstein, Jim Edmonds, David Freese, Matt Holliday, Lance Berkman, Scott Rolen, Kyle Lohse--you know; huge role players outside Pujols and Yadier Molina for their 06 and 11 World Series wins?

Was that through the farm? Or through smart trades and signings; I forgot. Refresh my memory please.

You cannot say it's only been a couple games in terms of Villanueva and in the same post complain about the signing of Feldman.

Yes I can, Feldman has always been bad. One year with 17 wins doesnt change it for me. He's a hopeful lightning in a bottle signing who has 3 shitty starts, while Haren has 1 shitty start and 2 average starts.

As for the White Sox, I do believe you are the first person to say that building around John Danks is a great idea. I haven't seen anybody rank the White Sox higher than 25th in the farm rankings, so Keith Law isn't sitting up in Detroit with a grin on his face bashing the White Sox because he has an inferiority complex

I didnt mention Danks, specifically; I mentioned a host of names they are better off with. When Danks isnt suffering from his chronic Jerkers elbow, hes an above average pitcher. Funny how in 2011 and 2012 Chisox farm was terrible yet Viciedo, Addison Reed, Quintana and Sale are all stepping up and contributing.....Keith Law is a Special person. But like the infallible Theo regime; you cant contain yourself from :fap::fap::fap::fap::harden::cum: from command central.

You're not supposed to swallow the bong water, bro

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  2. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Chicago State Cougars
  2. DePaul Blue Demons
  3. Illinois-Chicago Flames
  4. Loyola Ramblers
  5. Northern Illinois Huskies
  6. Northwestern Wildcats
And now Baseball America has him 5th, with one of the players ahead of him being Javier Baez whom was drafted by Hendry.

Not all that much has changed really.

I think that pretty much sums it all up.

Sure, Baez is #1, but then you also have Almora, Soler, Vizcaino, Vogelbach, Johnson, etc.

You need prospects to make those trades in the first place.

Not all of whom are ahead of Jackson and Vogelbach wasn't drafted by Theo and Hoyer.

At least have your facts correct for a change instead of rushing to your agenda.

Kent Bottenfield was a prospect?? No.

Chris Carpenter was signed as a FA from Toronto.

David Eckstein was signed as a FA from Anahiem

Lance Berkman was signed as a FA from the Yankees.

Kyle Lohse was signed as a FA from the Phillies.

Matt Holiday was resigned as a FA.

Jim Edmonds was not a prospect when he was traded for David Freese.

Scott Rolen was acquired for three major league players, not prospects.

Adam Wainwright was acquired for JD Drew and Eli Marrero. Major League players.

Congrats. Accurate as ever.

IMO Price isn't going to bring a single dollar into Wrigley. And I really can't see Price wanting to go to the Cubs. He's a stud on a vastly superior team now. The only thing the Cubs can do is trade for him (In essence making the franchise worse for Price than what he has today) or get a ton of cash (for which there will be loads of suitors to do that).

Should the Cubs try for Price? Absolutely! Will Price want to stay and try to right a 105 year old ship? Probably not.

you need ML talent to trade for specs in order to move specs in a few years. Please tell me how they will get a better farm? The cubs have nothing to trade anymore.

Rizzo already one of the better young players in the game today???

Holy cow. Slurp Slurp Slurp.

Put the bong down and pick the books back up. You are wasting mommy and daddies tuition money.

He is no where close to Freeman or Goldschmidt as young NL 1B.

He's not even in the top 25 of players 25 years old and younger.

LOL. You don't have to be the best in to be one of the best. Is Andrew Luck one of the best young QB's in the NFL? Sure, but you don't see people bitching because he isn't better than Brady/Rodgers/Brees. Make a good rankings and let me know if he isn't there. Is he top 5? No 15? probably not, but he is going to be in the top 20 or at least 25. There really isn't that many players in the ML that are under 25 that have much of an impact. But I like the base insults. They made me laugh as you probably haven't accomplished much. But honestly if you don't have anything else to say you either lack the knowledge on the topic or picked something undebateable. Most of your arguments have been made out of twisting my words, which for you courtesy are here in print.

And I have a 3.9 GPA making $32 an hour at my internship but I could give two shits what anybody on the internet says.
But I''m sure picking fights with kids on the internet is a better use of time.
Wrong.

Have they had any staying power? No. But if they don't it must be nice picking and choosing teams.

Other than Baez they were acquired by Theo/Hoyer which is exactly what he said in this post. But good job trying to act all condescending. At least read the post a few times. You seem to have a reading comprehension problem based as this has happened in each of your recent posts.

All whom are ahead of Jackson WERE (use English) acquired by Theo/Hoyer. No they weren't drafted but they were acquired which serves the outcome.

Feldman isn't even going to be in the rotation once Garza comes back. As for the Cardinals they made signings as well as build up their farm. They didn't wake up last year and find someone dropped Shelby Miller, Oscar Tavares, and other guys like Albert Pujols in their farm system. Its a combination of all things. The major leaguers players they traded for guys like Rolen, and Wainwright were once prospects. I don't get why it's so hard for people to get to their head everyone is a prospect at some pont. Nobody shows up to spring training on an open tryout and hits 30HR the next year. Not sure why you're all butt hurt about the extra year of rebuilding. Looking at all your teams there you should be pretty used to it by now

Just making a point. Not like I expect anybody to give a damn. I just find it funny when people blindly thorough accusations around because they have trouble reading.

Really??

There are PLENTY of players 25 and under that have made MASSIVE impacts.

Sure you don't have to be the best to be one of the best, but when you don't even rank in the top 25 of players 25 and under, that doesn't make you one of the best young players in baseball.

And you were whining about other people's reading comprehension??

Most of your arguments have been made out of twisting my words, which for you courtesy are here in print.

And which I have quoted directly and responded to directly.

Not sure how that is twisting your words, but maybe you mean correcting you is twisting your words.

Want a cookie? We are all so very happy for you.

But I am sure bragging about how great you are on the internet to total strangers is a better use of time.

Let me guess, your dad can beat up my dad??

Have they had any staying power? No. But if they don't it must be nice picking and choosing teams.

There are few to no teams that have staying power in baseball.

I think the longest current playoff streak is 3 years by the Rangers.
