Never heard of it, whats the justification for what the runners don't have guns?

Why the runners dont have guns? Because they aren't killers im guessing and recognize the cops chasing after them and such are just regular people and its the evil corrupt government thats behind all the problems.

I was just curious if there was a particular reason in the canon of the story as to why they don't carry them. Like only the rich can afford them, or they are illegal to own unless you are a cop or something.

Have any other Skyrim players gone through the Dark Brotherhood quests? I've heard that the only Master level alchemy trainer in Skyrim is Babette from the Brotherhood, who you can only access by joining, but I really kind of just want to kill all the basterds. I read that once you join you can't kill the main Brotherhood NPC's, any suggestions?

Ask Supra. i fight them every time.

You know its really wierd. But I find it impossible to play evil characters I just can't do it. The closest I get, is when with this werewolf mod I have, when the change is forced at the full moon, I kill people. Because you have no choice (that was an interesting mechanic to have, to simulate the lack of control when a werewolf), in this mod you can be bitten to change as opposed to just doing the companion quests. and there are 2 types of werewolves. pure blood and feral (feral if you get bitten, pureblood through companions) pure bloods can get by with eating animals, if you are a feral werewolf, you have to kill and eat people or you die).

Nah, I have a hard time choosing purely evil options as well. Merely being "snarky" like in the 2004 A Bard's Tale was one thing, but ever since Fable I've had a really hard time being purely evil.

To start the brotherhood questlne in Skyrim you have to kill the horrible old woman that runs the orphanage in Riften, which isn't hard since all the orphans and pretty much everyone else in the town either hate her or want her dead anyway and she can only take one punch before taking the dirt nap anyway, "Whoopsie!"

After that the brotherhood kidnaps you in your sleep and gives you the choice of killing one or more of three marks, one of which admits to being a killer and a rapist to make it easy. You either do in one of the three or attack the assassin leader instead. I ended up killing the rapist, which makes me a member of the brotherhood. I don't get to kill the assassin clan now, but I have access to training from Babette (she's a vampire girl, like Kirsten Dunst's character in Interview With A Vampire) and I suppose for now I can choose not to finish any of the outstanding contracts they've given me to work on "Um.. still working on that Penske file!"

So.. at least just to join you can get away with killing a couple of not very nice NPC's but I'm concerned that sooner or later the quest line will require something unsavory, or at least more unsavory that butchering all those bandits and mages that keep attacking me (I've killed some imperial soldiers as well but only because they attacked after taking collateral damage in a fight between an ice dragon and myself, jerks should have stayed clear of my kill).

If anyone is interested in playing Tribes: Ascend, PM me your email address. I'll send you a referral. It's a free game. First person shooter with jet packs basically. If anyone has played Tribes before, it's fucking awesome. So yeah, if interested, shoot me a PM with your email if you don't mind.

You have to kill a lot of people, but they are all bad for one reason or the other. And you get to kill a special guest which I won't spoil. Just remember that someone must complete the ritual in order for there to be a contract so usually it means they did something serious enough to piss someone off.

Well, that makes me feel a little better. I keep thinking about the "Death Star contractor" discussion from Clerks. I try not to think that any of the bandits who rush me once I show up on their doorstep might just be there to service the chamber pots. Heck, if that was you and some maniac in heavy, wicked looking armor with a holocaust cloak and fire coming out of their palms arrives what what you do? Assume they're just collecting for the Riften orphanage?

..and speaking of that ritual, I hope that wasn't the body of that kid's dead mom he was using to summon the Brotherhood because that's pretty messed up. "Hey, Aventus, see you later, like in another ten years or so you scarred for life little sicko."

Sweeeeeeet! Wonder how it will work. Wonder how advanced it will be from D2, which I expect a lot from this. I mean, it did take them 15 years to think about....

I wonder how we'd be able to play with friends and stuff... cause that would be one of my most pressing concerns. Remember, it was random in D2 and Diablo.

I'm level 45 and haven't been a werewolf yet (don't give nothing away Supra or AssHavok). Didn't start the Brotherhood quests either but now that I know how...

I never play as an evil peep either.

It borrows heavily from wow but in a good way. You no longer assign health and mana points manually, when you level it does it for you. The skills you get them all but you can only have so many on your action bar. As for friends you just invite them to your game or have your game open and they can hop in. I played the open beta weekend with my nephew and we had a blast I'll be rocking the barbarian tonight and he liked the wizard.

TSD I promise it won't suck and you don't need the other two to play this one. The story isn't that big of a deal in the Diablo games sure you can read all the text and crap like that but it is more about killing stuff to get better gear and given that Diablo II was one of the best games of all time, they won't **** up 3. All they did was streamline and improve the character abilities and make it a thousand times better

I went into werewolf mode once. My old toon was evil once. Killed a mining camp of orcs and when the town attacked him for it (please someone explain to me how they knew he was dead) I slaughtered them in self defense. Only reason I killed said orc miners was because I couldn't mine the ore they were hitting and they weren't getting off the ore and I wanted new gear dammit.

Ditto, never played it. Is it an FPS?

Nope basically top down Action RPG. I'm really surprised how many people have never played it, it was one of the biggest games of 2000, one of the most influential games of the decade.

No one is talking about it because consoles have killed PC gaming. Sure you still have your hard core guys and your LAN party nerds but no casual gamer uses their PC anymore. At the end of the day it's too expensive. Sure the games itself are actually a little cheaper but constantly upgrading your computer to work got old, and then constantly fighting with drivers was even worse. If there was a port onto consoles we'd be talking about it, but the way the game is set up it's pretty impossible on a console, which is fine, and it's going to be a great game, just don't expect it to be genre exploding. It will still sell well because it's the one game that every PC gamer will have to have, then they'll trumpet it because it's a PC only game and it's what the nerd fanboys will do but at the end of the day as good as it is their will always be other games just as good that won't limit to PC gamers.
