Not trying to get into the console vs PC flame war but 99% of the time I prefer PC over console. The only genres I feel is better suited to console is sports games and racing games (unless you go hardcore racing on the PC with the steering wheel and pedals). But like shooters, I cannot fathom why shooters are popular on the consoles, the controls are fucking horrid for FPS. I still think they should put a thumb trackball into one of the analog spots for shooters and then consoles would work just fine but yeah the two analog sticks...**** that.

I just prefer PCs due to the controls, most of the time I'm more comfortable with the good ole wasd than dual analog sticks. And since I tend to play more strategy games they are not console friendly.

Also for one shot at the flamewar to ensue, consoles will never kill the PC game. Too many genres do so much better on the PC

and mass updating drivers isn't the ritual it used to be and for upgrades what I just did to mine will last me 5 plus years if I wanted it to. Sure at the end of those 5 years my graphics will be set to low but then I just drop a new vid card or two (I'm running two now) and blamo right back to where I want to be. If I want my CPU to go faster I just upgrade the cooling system in it and it is faster.

I don't have a OMGWTF powered rig but there is only 1 game that taxes the shit out of my PC and that is because the code doesn't utilize the graphic card very well and is very CPU intensive and that is DCS A-10C with is the king of nerd games.

I used to feel the same way as you, that the only reason i bought a console period was for sports games......but then I started playing different genres and liked them.

However, I still play alot of PC games, especially rpgs (like all the Elder Scroll series), and shooters.

I know your pain sir, I logged on this morning just to setup my toon and it was still slammed. One day Blizz will learn that it makes tremendously popular games and plan appropriately. I mean hell in open beta we stress tested the shit out of it.

Arkham City I need to get back from my friend so I can download the add-on content.

Dead Island I just got, I can see what you mean but I'd like to play some multiplayer first with someone before I make a verdict.

Dragon Age II was great, but I liked the first one better. Just seemed more fluid. I believe they were different developers?

Blizzard will come correct. It is one of the few if not only game company I still have any faith in. To think I turned down a job with them in the late '90's because they werent paying enough...

Be right back, gonna go cut myself....

I know they will fix it but just a bit frustrating that they seem to have this problem with every new release, I mean when it comes to quality I really believe they are the best in the world.

This is why I love blizz games. Hell I don't even like Starcraft but I'll end up buying it. And no I am not suggesting SC is bad, just not my style

“No, it takes a long time to make a Blizzard game. We’re very focused on quality. If we think something is not good enough, we make it better. We redo things, which is really uncommon in game development. If we build a level and don’t like (it), we’ll throw it out."

Need to get back to Arkham City and Dead Island... just haven't had the time.

DLC for Arkham may not be worth it (unless they've released something new I haven't heard about) depending on what you're looking for...

Most are just skins or new arenas for the stealth/fighting challenges.

Yeah even the DLC for the first one was ultra lame

It had been 12 years since Diablo 2, AND they had created WoW almost after that. There's also been problems with servers in the past in Star Wars as well, but that wasn't a Blizzard issue. Still, though it made headline news.

How the hell could they not have seen this coming? It's no damn excuse.
