I get away with throwing picks in OTP all the time. I've never been called for it once as long as you don't hit the hit stick.

Exactly. I don't mind a good pick here and there but it gets annoying when your opponent does it all game and they never get called for it.

Overall my biggest concern about this game is the goalie AI. Can't score on a breakaway, perfect one-timer, or backdoor pass because the goalie has ridiculous side-to-side movement and predicts everything.

Yeah the side to side needs to be turned WAY down. I have made that argument since NHL 11. Dont have the goalie save the Xcrease have the D stop it. The goalie is supposed to be fucked on that play.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Concerning NHL 13 and BAP, I think they need to work on some basic physics realism in terms of what happens to your player--especially in regards to difficulty level. At the point I am at, my player is about 6-2, 245, Puck control is at 85, Balance and Strength are both 99 for a powerforward center.

Given those stats, Be it Pro, Veteren, or Legend difficulty, I would think only 15 times out of 100 *when protecting the puck* could someone Patrick Kane's size attempt to hit you from behind and not only knock the puck loose, much less drop your player to the ice; not the 95 times out of 100 it seems to happen to me.

It seems like the difficulty balacing factor, instead of improving the AI to see your moves and respond to your playing style, instead puts your ability vs. the computers into the realm of handicapping you. At the lowest levels your character is superhuman, at the highest levels the computer-controlled players are superhuman.

That is frustrating as shit. My player is a big dude and just gets manhandled. Or when you seemed to get sucked into a vortex, before you are even actually hit, when standing in front of the net.

Pics or it didn't happen.

I've been playing a shit ton of FIFA lately, sprinkled in with some NHL. The FIFA game is simply better overall it slaughters the NHL game, the GUI is faster, better looking and easier to navigate. They pay attention to all the little details which really adds some great polish to the game. Their downfall is all their camera views suck in someway. That is where NHL is better the camera. Here's my observation about the NHL series, we play the beta. the skating engine is good but lacks polish, when board play was implemented it needed refinement that it really is still waiting on. They have great ideas in the NHL series but it takes too long to get those ideas polished up really well.

Though here is a problem both games face, single player the AI is at least decent. Online the AI is fucking Special person for both games.

I don't know thing one about soccer so I'd be more of a hindrance online than I am in NHL.

Leave it to microsoft to screw up something so simple as a link... hha That is pretty sweet. If it works like it shows who know... I'm confused by the writer at the bottom stating something like it might not be feasible because a high end projector is so expensive? How high end are we talking here because the prices have plummeted, you can pick up decent ones for 250 or so... maybe even cheaper.

Yeah, especially considering you're not talking about HD graphics for background images and also, it would likely be a Microsoft supported projector which likely make it cheaper since they tend to eat some of the cost of hardware to sell software.

I would normally agree, but the projector itself doesn't have any software to sell for it. It looks like like like it just works with existing games not special games for it.. or at least existing games of the future. so it's not like there is really any accessories to go with it, it's more like the accessory that they would use to regain some of the cost of the xbox. So I would expect it to have something proprietary on it and be more expensive than a regular projector.
