I got saints row 2 free on PS+ and didn't make it very far. It was fun but just didn't really hold my attention.

Most of the GTA stuff you guys just mentioned, I have no clue about. I haven't played that game in a few years. But I hear GTA5 is going to be really cool. Is this true?

Or are you guys ripping on it. I seriously don't know.

dont get me wrong GTA 4 was a great game. But they added some definite "busy work" type of side missions. i.e. you have to keep your friends happy so that might entail going bowling, playing pool, etc and if you blow them off they will start to dislike you. It was annoying because they would call you at the most in-opportune times. Or when you are on the other side of the city and really dont want to drive over to pick them up.

The one thing I also didn't like about 4 was that it was much harder to find awesome spots for crazy jumps and stunts. That's one of my favorite parts of the game and it seemed like there were a lot less of them. Although, it could just be my perception as I never got really into the GTA series.

FYI, you do need the latest version of the PS3 firmware on a USB drive in a folder named UPDATE in a folder named PS3. it's about 194mb. So not too bad to download.

hahaha what a bunch of pussies, going to require a day one patch. A system that was to revolutionize gaming has not be totally reversed. Make up your minds, there go a bunch of those wonderful features you were touting... I'm sure not many gamers would be made but this is just as much a bad move and no move. They should have pressed forward and focused the PR on what you are getting... now they look like the company who caved to twitter and are removing a bunch of shiny features that were supposed to be the revolution.

I think they had to. International sales for XB1 would be crushed. Requiring online access to play games is a dumb idea. I think this may also have come about to show developing houses that XB1 is pro-development, anti-Gamestop/Gamefly. But that wont do them any good if folks arent buying the console.

I am still on the fence of course, but I do feel myself leaning to fall into the PS4 yard. At this point for me is just about the vision of XB1 vs PS4. Could be all marketing fluff still, but XB1 feels like it is being sold as the HAL of entertainment. I see you sat down, here is your movie that I thought you wanted. I'm afraid I cant shut that down. I am not going all tin foil, but I dont prefer what they are trying to accomplish.

PS4 feels more like an evolution rather than a revolution and making a game system so that I can... play games.

Did 4 have multiplayer? I was told 5 has up to 16 players online. Cop and robbers game, king of the hill type......

Oh did I love the jumps in the earlier version (South Beach?).

Frustrating at times, but when you nail it, it rocked.

It was bullshit what they had. Always needing to "check back in" online in order to play games you may not ever even play online in the first place? Just that alone. Complete horseshit. Don't see that as a "shiny feature".

It's so funny to hear the fan boys with all the flip flopping... just constantly justifying everything no matter what happens... at this point MS could say that the machine is now going to cost $50 more dollars to re-engineer it to work with the removed requirements and they'd just say

Its hilarious that an actress from the game seems so excited about the actual gameplay, moreso than a guy that looks like he was involved in developing it.

Finally Finished ME3... I don't think the ending deserved the outrage it did... but it was very very unfulfilling. Probably will keep me from going back and playing any of them again.

This is why the Leviathan DLC is SO important. The ending kinda went through 3 phases:

Release ending: All your decisions you made for three games came down to a space baby pseudo-god that is so cheap and you choose what color explosion you wanted.

Patched ending: Better, but still weak. There was some better explanation that was still soft and some other choices, but still not good.

Patched + Levithan ending (coupled with Citadel DLC): Good ending. Good explanations. Did not feel cheated with the other crew members and such, what the story and ending should have been. Only minor nitpicks.

Maybe I'll have to get the leviathan ending... but I'm a bit burnt out right now. I didn't like a lot of the gunbattle balance in the last game. It's was either I could whip through the enemies without breaking a sweat, or I would die 10 times in a row... no middle ground really of challenging fights that didn't want to make you turn it off....

I think I'll go play my free games now... XCOM probably, or maybe DuesEx, I started Sleeping Dogs, that seems pretty decent.
