Actually I believe that Rice stated that Furcal "isn't even a better defender than him"... There is one aspect Furcal is greater than Castro in, OBP, but Castro has an OPS twenty-plus points higher. A .377 SLG is as pathetic as a .317 or whatever Castro has OBP.
And now you say it's close? I thought you said we were homers for taking Castro over Furcal as if it was a huge difference? :thinking:

ok blake, its close but it still doesnt change the fact that right now any contender would take furcal for this year over castro. this isnt about "potential and age" so please tell your friends to stop.
2nd, you guys got off track a bit by holding onto the closest thing you have an arguement for and thats furcal....lets look at the whole picture....that is the all star game.....he doesnt deserve to be there.

Find me stats which Reyes better. I can only find 1. OBP... again if you make every player with OBP over guys who produce then your not a smart baseball fan. OBP is nice to have but not the tell all stat.
