how does that not make sense. its possible to have a better OBP than Slugging. so if the stats were flipped you would be arguing for OBP being better and if you say you wouldnt you are lying.

There was a ten page discussion on it here. SLG-Runs correlation is 91.2% as a team stat, OBP-Runs 88%. OPS of course beats both, but if it is between OBP or SLG with equal OPS, the SLG will add more production to your team, so you take that player.

Guy with better OBP then Slugging would be someone like Campana which most fans hate. So you take 9 leadoff hitters on ur team. Let me know how that works out

When your OBP is that LOW the slugging has nill affect on a players value. fact. his OBP is that bad and it dampers whatever he does with slugging.

Furcals slugging is bad and it dampers his OBP... OPS > both, and Castro's OPS is significantly higher

that is the dumbest comparison since each team needs to have balance.
Player A isnt starlin castro, castro cant even sniff .332
And if you are using campana like you did earlier, that is a bad comparison since his stats have not come to what the player actually is hence the sample size.
