Your standards are pretty damn low.
Take away todays crapfest and you are still left with a guy who in his best season as a pro sits right about the middle of the pack.
He has found his most functional, successful role- a game manager with zero skill beyond 15 yards or so.

Book it, this year was the absolute peak of his career- close to a 2-1 td to int ratio, low 90s rating, and dismal YPA. It will never get any better.

Man I so hope you're wrong, because like it or not, he's going to be back next year. My hope is that this was a "do what we can with the crap we have" year and next year with a little more healthy talent things will be better. And yes I am an eternal optimist, hell I've been saying wait till next year for roughly 40 years as a Cubs fan.

That dude was Ziggy Ansah, Jay better watch out whos face he's getting in lol

How is who it is even relevant? This isn't the schoolyard, Kyle Long would have destroyed anyone who tried anything to retaliate and the refs would be in after that.

Oh no! Watch out, he might want to meet him in the parking lot after the game.

How many more seasons are we going to have to watch the Cutler train wreck? What's the point? He's no longer a young QB with potential, the offense always sucks, the team never makes the playoffs, so why keep him around.

Who do you have to replace him with that wouldn't be in the same position? Or worse if we lose Forte and Jeffery?

That's for Pace to figure out, but really anyone can lead the Bears to a crap offense and a non playoff berth every year, so it really doesn't matter. Who are we going to replace our other scrubs with? Who knows, but it still needs to be done.

Then what difference at this time does it make? Whether Cutler is here or not we're going to be a crap team. May as well play him to the end of his contract so we can focus on getting crap everywhere else until we have to other crap at QB.

You can find mediocre QB play for less than 17-20 mil per year.

LOL yeah that's pretty sad.

What's sadder is the bias in those stats. This is Jay Cutler's best season and all while his starting WR was in and out then finally put on it, his other starting wr being on it in the beginning, his third WR being in and out then finally placed on ir, starting the placed on IR, starting LT and C placed on IR, RG made into a bad RT and some random RG plugged in.

All that happened and he still put up a 2:1 ratio, kept us in every game and had the best QBR of his career.

So knowing you, airtime and mai boi daabears you plan on just calling those excuses and I'm cool with that but at least come up with other qbs' who have done the same

Thanks in advance

You are never gonna stop riding Cutlers dick are you? All you do is make bullshit excuses for him week after week. The Bears are never going to have much success with him at QB period.

Because for one he's getting paid like he isn't the leader of one of the NFL's worst offenses year in and year out, mediocre should be cheaper.

And two if you try someone else there's always the possibility that it might work out and you get someone who can improve and be built around. Why not? Cutler's had that chance for years.

And lastly, I don't care who you are fan, coach, defensive player, offensive, it has to be pretty damn demoralizing watching the same player making the same mistakes year after year. It'd be like if we still had Bobby Wade muffing punts for us all these years later.

So we're a crap team for less money? Is it your money?

If Cutler is here next year, it will very likely be his last. He is not worth the remainder of his contract, and those resources can be used to find his replacement, or improve the team elsewhere.

He's had his run. Both the Bears and he didn't make much of it. It is time to start looking beyond Cutler.

So no reason or logic in this post.

Will the rest follow suit?

Looking beyond Cutler is fine, acting like he hasn't improved isn't

When is the year he can get cut without a hit?

I don't mind talk of getting rid of Cutler. I don't like the talk of getting rid of Cutler at all costs with no plan to replace him with better. Complaining without a plan to fix it is just whining.
