That said, I this is the type of player I think Peavy will bring in, not the caliber others thought previously.

Peavy also has a rehab game Sunday in Double A. Come on Jake. Do well and show you're healthy.

Ya Hawk has gone full Special person:

"I've never, ever seen a player who couldn't be traded. Never. If the deal is right you can trade anybody," Harrelson said Thursday on "The Carmen & Jurko Show" on ESPN Chicago 1000. "Would I hate to lose Chris Sale? Yes. First of all, because he's something special in the talent department, and the other thing is he's one of the nicest young men you'll ever meet. He's great in the clubhouse, he's great for the team. But if the right deal came up, I'd trade him, I'd trade anybody on our ballclub.

Why would you fucking trade a 24 year old ace? Unless you were trading for Stanton which even then I wouldn't do it.

There's no way to sell a Sale trade to the fan base.

Ya Sale is one of the few prospects that have turned out let alone become elite.

Im not trading Sale, Q, Reed. I think I'd hold onto Viciedo and Beckham unless we could package them for a CarGo or Stanton.

I thought this was a thread on here some time in the past year. No one in baseball is untradeable. Get the right offer and the player is gone. I see nothing but 100% truth with this.

Probably true, but it's not like they are getting droves out now. Reality is there just aren't enough Sox fans that can get to the park. Possibly not enough Sox fans period.

I would trade away Reed for any everyday position player, any starter 1-3, any elite prospect or any two upper prospects (say year or two away). Closers are relatively easy to come by. See our own team in 2005 who had three of them.

If the Sox traded Peavy for Delgado and Crain for Castellanos I'd be one happy camper

I think the Peavy trade is a possibility but the Crain trade a pure fantasy. Relievers don't bring in that kind of haul.

That's what i was thinking. But it would be a wet dream if that actually happened.
even if just the Peavy deal happens I'd be pretty happy. Delgado is a good spec and Coop could help him a lot.

Delgado for peavy, castellanos for Crain I'd be psyched. Well get something decent for Thornton and lindstrom. Also something decent for Rios.

I don't think trading Rios is necessary and I doubt it will happen. It'd be nice to get rid of the salary, but I don't see a team giving up a lot for him for that same reason. To big of a price tag. Unless the Sox pay part of the salary then I could see some sort of trade happening.

Thornton gone for OF Brandon Jacobs. Next up Crain, Peavy when healthy. Then Rios, Ramirez, Konerko, Dunn, Lindstrom.

Wrong Brandon Jacobs lol. This one was a football prospect but not THE Jacobs you're thinking of.
