Guys...the Bulls would have to use some ingenuity to replace him. But you trade Noah for Carmelo Anthony. Carmelo is a year older, and is a dynamic nba player. He and Rose would make one of the best 1-2 punches in the league.

You can't fall in love with inferior players, even Noah, who I absolutely love. Anthony can get you a championship. He is on Lebron/Wade level talent wise. Same age as Lebron and younger than Wade. The window of opportunity for this team to win would be as large as Miami's, even larger because Rose is very young relative to those guys.

If they keep Noah though, and still get Melo? they might be the second best team in basketball...YEAH I SAID IT!!!

seriously if you put varejo, gortat, even brendon haywood on this team, we're closer to a championship if you have melo.

noah is going to get paid. i'd rather pay melo than noah.

you dont explain crap to me. gasol played with pieces of crap around him. if you look at the playoffs last season, gasol was better than a robbin. it was closer to 1a and 1b then it was a robin.

Varejao is garbage. Gortat is average. Brendon Haywood is okay, but nothing special. All those guys should never start a game in the NBA. They should be backup centers.

In Memphis Gasol was surrounded by very mediocre players..And if he was a true alpha dog he would have atleast taken some playoff games.

Kobe elevates Gasol's game so much he makes him look like a much better player. Kobe-Gasol is a duo... Gasol is a post player and Kobe is an all-around talent. The two of them together make it wonderful and make things happen.

If the Bulls got Melo without giving up Noah they are the second or third best team in the league. They of course still need to prove it to everyone just like the Heat need to prove it to the league now.

But, I've pretty much made my case as to why I'm against giving up Noah for Melo, so I'm not going to repeat myself. To me teams like Orlando and LA will have a field day all night long in the post against us as we have nothing there to stop them on defense.

i agree with it all, but seriously damon stoudemire? mike conely ? that was pure garbage around him. Yeah mediocre talent might have been able to get them a couple wins, but they had garbage around him.

but we're digressing. My point was that we should have pulled the trigger on a deng for gasol trade. We overvalued deng. Let's not do it again.

la is going to kick our ass in the post even with noah. As long has orlando still has howard, we're going to get our ass kicked in the post by him too.

I say we keep negotiating with them. Like I said,Deng,Taj,James,2 first rounders. Good for rebuilding because thats what they will be doing. If this goes to the trade deadline and its still Noah, maybe I'll break. For now no,id rather give them the trade I said if we can convince them. Thats just my opinion

I haven't paid much attention to this pipedream of a trade. Does Chicago have a legitimate shot? After all the LeBron buzz, I don't want to buy into something like that again until it's solid information.

We have a great shot...if we're willing to part ways with Noah then we have the best shot actually. The Bulls have the most to give.

See I was against that trade at the time, but not because I was overvaluing Deng, I thought people were overvaluing Gasol. They all thought Gasol was going to bring us championships upon championships. Not with that team. To me, Gasol was never the number one option in my opinion and still isnt one. On the Bulls at the time he would have been treated as such and he would receive the same media scrunity that other players in this town seemingly all get.

If we had Noah-Boozer-Melo-Guard-Rose against LA or Orlando..over we beat them. Noah wont stop a player like Howard, but the key is limiting him enough and stoppin the rest of his teammates that Howard becomes a one man team.

LA that is tought to do, but I think matchups overall are good.

also it's worth noting that noah should have a significant drop off next season on the offensive end. he's not going to get the touches with boozer around. he's going to get mostly garbage buckets and tip ins.

Look...

Noah>Gordon

That may be an oversimplified explanation, but Noah gives you rebounding, gets you turnovers, and gets you easy points off turnovers.

Those are the 3 main components to a championship caliber team.

Not to mention garbage buckets and tips ins are still two points.

actually i think we dont have a shot. noah isnon a rookie contract . i was talking to doug via the bulls confidential. Yeah hes a young prospect, but he's due to get paid soon. Deng is a big contract. If they're looking for young talent, we dont have much beyond gibson and the charlotte pick. plus nene is a pretty good defensive center. we really dont have as much to offer as the nets, clippers, or some other team.

i think new york has the best prospect of getting him. they can ride this thing out, and sign him next season via free agency.

But you gotta consider the fact that free agents always tend to follow the money. If there is a serious cap reduction etc, it would be in anthony's best interest to sign a new contract sooner than next season.

in conclusion, i have no clue.

i agree about us having melo an noah. if we have melo and noah, i'd say we're a hair shorter than being the best team in league. i just dont see us keeping noah.

Noah can guard basically any "big" player in the NBA outside of Dwight Howard and Tim Duncan.... maybe Bynum...

Him against Bosh and the Miami frontline sounds like music to my ears. He can guard Bosh, Yao, Gasol, Aldridge, Stoudemire (if he had to), David West, Josh Smith, (insert name here) all somewhat effectively.
