Consider the source, but allegedly Watson is plan a, Wilson's plan b.

I just hope Pace doesn't get roped into paying Wilson's signing bonus with the Seahawks. That would be too desperate.

The rational fan in me who has been completely underwhelmed by the Pace regime over the years thinks he's desperate to get a franchise QB.

The sky is falling fan in me who watched the season ending presser gets the awful feeling that Pace has absolutely no heat under his ass to make a desperation move.

I prefer the term “motivated” to “desperate” , but let’s not kid ourselves Pace and Nagy desperate AF. Lol

Another pro of this move (and why its not as desperate and risky as people think):

Even if for some reason you give up multiple 1st round picks and this thing blows up in your face after a successful year or two the roster just falls apart.

You can always just trade him again for multiple picks and rebuild. Unless he majorly falls off, an elite QB will always have trade value.

Trade him and Mack, and suddenly you have enough ammo to trade up for a qb to build around.

"There is a real sense of panic in that building," as one NFL executive put it. "Don't underestimate how desperate they are."

Yeah..... this sounds real encouraging.

The more I think about it, the less likely I think we have enough ammunition to get Wilson or Watson. It's going to take picks and players. So we rip holes in our roster and then don't have the draft capital or cap space to fill those voids.

It's less certain but I still think the draft is the way to go.

3 1sts + 1 player not named Roquan Smith is what I would be willing to trade. Can we convince SEA that Eddie Jackson is still good?

The Bears will be in a much better position in ONE year if they keep all their draft picks.

They will be absolute dog shit if they trade multiple 1sts again.
