I'm gonna be buried in mt greenwood cemetery and have a huge grave in the shape of a beer pong table so teens can stop by and get wasted.

Put some benches there so they can sit and have a few brewskis

ND is horrible.
Sure, I got canned from my first job as a 17 yr old.....

I was doing something and apparently put a broken something back on the shelf; I honestly don't remember doing that at all but whatever.

It was like 1.5 weeks into the job and I do remember a bunch of the older hispanic female employees giving me the eye the whole time for some reason.....

Very odd week and a half.

I would rather have my body eaten by wild dogs than buried on the south side

Never been fired, but I had a company not pick me up as a permanent employee after a temp contract was up.

I was doing testing on the systems that allow emergency services to locate people when the call in. The land line systems have all been done for decades, and at that time almost all cell carriers/towers were set up and running, but VoIP still needed integration and testing. Anyway, I was doing that stuff, and that process involves a boat load of paperwork, you have to provide it to the carrier (Vonage in this case), my company, and whatever local government was applicable, in this case it was some COG in Texas, I don't remember which.

Anyway, someone fucked shit up during the pre-test phase, my boss tried to lay the blame at my feet and let it be known to others that I had fucked shit up; however since there's such a paper trail around it I got all the documentation together, included the Email chain where she accused me of screwing the pooch and sent it to her, her bosses, my direct supervisor, and the girl who actually fucked things up. The girl who fucked shit up was the boss lady's BFF, I knew since I was just a contract employee I was screwed regardless what I did so I made sure her bosses knew she was making a scapegoat of me to cover her little buddy's ass.

It's the closest I've ever come to burning a bridge or leaving an employer on a less than positive note.

I've never been fired before, but have left a very good job with bad feelings. I've shared this before here, so won't again. I'll just say, it sucked for a few months, but in the end, doors opened, and I absolutely believe I am in a better spot now than I would have been if I stayed.

Hope it all works out ole. Sucks that shit like this happens while on holiday.

I knew you hadn't been canned, but thought you might be still on the edge. So it has worked out? No more worry? Glad to hear it. Enjoy the rest of your break.

Been fired twice.

First time I was 16 working at Target. I'd asked for more hours and sure enough the first Saturday I had off they asked me to work and I turned it down (I was young and dumb) but hell I was going to school and working I was looking forward to a day of doing jack shit. And also probably because they wanted us to push their credit card but never trained me on how to do it so I finally get one to sign up and **** up the whole process because I winging it like mad.

Second time, well I got cocky and foolishly thought that because I pretty much out worked everyone in the department I could get away with murder. I was well wrong.

Was asking to take a horizontal move (which in reality was a demotion with no pay change) to a job I didnt want to do. So I quit on the spot, no two weeks no nothing. Said I quit effective immediately and walked out.

I had been at a job for almost four years.
I had a pinched nerve in my neck that was getting worse and worse and making my arm not work correctly.
It was really bad one day so I called in to take a vacation day. The next day was still bad but I decided I would try to work and if I couldn't I would go to the hospital.
Walked in and my boss was waiting for me at my toolbox. I was thinking "Great, I can tell him my plan."
He fired me for "poor performance" before I could even say anything.
Now I am at a much better job, closer to home, making lots more money.
I had the same nerve issue come up a few years ago.
Boss told me take time off, see a doc, and get fixed and healed up.
2 months of no work, MRIs, nerve meds, and therapy.
Went back to work and got a raise "for busting my ass to get back to work".
Old job does work for me now and I've poached some of their best.
F 'em!

I've had to fire people... that always sucked... sometimes they get all chocked up and you know how hard it is... tough thing to do.

Unless I didn't like the ******... then I would record it on my phone and play it back over beers with my friends.
