It is fair to write them off when Matt Stafford is their QB. Does anyone really trust him?
He’s better than 2 QBs in the division and has a pretty good run game and defense. If you aren’t writing the Bears off you shouldn’t write the Lions off.

So, the Bears lost to the Packers last year as well, on game one, were the Packers better than the Bears?

Are the Lions as good as the Cardinals this year?

Head to Head doesn’t mean anything, except maybe, who played better that day, and that’s even a maybe.

The packers were better than the Bears in game one last year. As the season progressed, that changed. We can look at the data now (last season) and come to conclusions as to why. But you can't do that this year, it's all just speculation. You only have the data that is available, and those are the games that have been played, and to some degree chart the progression of each team to date. And I am sorry, I have seen zero progression on the Bears offensive side of the ball. To place them at number 2 is laughable.

Meh. They did enough to beat a top 5 defense with a back up QB. It wasn’t pretty but it was enough. Obviously it isn’t sustainable but I’m not overly concerned anymore.

The Packers have a limitation on defense and will be hurt badly by an Adams injury due to lack of premium weapons. The Rams have limitations on defense. The Bears have QB limitations and an imperfect O-line that I would say has a better chance to gel and settle as season goes on than the Packers to stop the run, or the Rams to beat teams with power offense/good defense combonation.

I'd have to say the Eagles and Saints have shown me the most potential. Carolina is interesting to me because Newton going down unlocks their offense to a degree and changes their script.

I'd count the Packers/Bears/Vikings/Rams/Seahawks/Cowboys/Lions

The Cowboys for instance look bad last night on offense, but look how they have looked with just 1 good WR the last few years. With Gallup back in the line-up they are among the teams who can beat good teams on any given Sunday and put a play-off run together if injuries, bounces, and match-ups give them favor to get past some short comings.

The Packers issue stopping the run is also the best way to slow down Rodgers, and chews up a defense over seasons course. Expect lots of IR's to continue if they can't solve it fast.

So, the Lions are just as good as the Cardinals, maybe they progress with the season.

Offense is not the only thing, and they have progression there as well, I mean, even going from no TD to a TD is progres, with a backup QB, and against a better D.
I’ve watched all games by both team, and yes, the Bears are better.
I don’t know who placed them at number 2, and number 2 of what?

The only thing I said is, they’re better than the Packers. And we still have to see if they’re better or worse than Detroit.

Basically every team mentioned are virtually tied.

The bears are the most talented overall team in the nfc outside of one position, Yelp.

Being better than two garbage QBs isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement. I just don’t trust him. And I have written the Bears off. I keep saying they’ll be in every game but they’ll lose when it matters most because they have an inept offense and it’s infuriating. I love that they’re winning and I hope they continue to but like last year, I think it ends the same.

MT couldn't hold Staffords jock strap. He is THAT bad.
I don’t disagree. That doesn’t mean that Stafford didn’t try losing that game vs the Cardinals. That’s who he is. That’s who he has always been and you Lions fan fall for it every single time they string together wins.

Looking at the Bears' remaining schedule (a savage gauntlet of good teams after Oakland), it's hard to see them doing better than 50-50. Going into that at 4-1 would be much more hopeful than 3-2.

I’m not lying. It’s a long con. Because I still lurked Bear report and would see my name brought up years after being banned. I already knew you guys stalked the Packers board.

I was playing chess while you bums were playing checkers and look where we are, 2019 and you’re still hot and bothered. Look at that dead ass board. I guess the yes man group think ultimately killed it.

Saints, Chargers, Eagles, Lions, Rams. All flawed teams. I have a lot of faith in our defense to shit in the mouths of all those teams. Now if I just had that much faith in our offense...
