I post on CCS. Its on CCS being used as gospel by the biggest anti-media poster on the board.
I post on twitter. Its all over twitter.

Alright, then a better question is... why care so much?

Whether it's an unknown dude on Twitter or someone plugged like Schefter, they all basically say the same types of things in similar ways. I hear Schefter on McAfee's show every week basically just give his opinion on things while people take it as truth. Even when he does get info, he words it so it can go either way. Hell, even yesterday, during the show he said he got a text that said, "The Browns are unsettled about who the starting QB will be", which... I mean, duh.. And also, it isn't even a definitive "the Browns are benching Winston." They all do it this way to have their back in case something doesn't happen.

At the end of the day, it's all fodder to help facilitate conversation among sports fans who share a common interest. If you think something is true.. cool. If not, cool. Who cares.

Some of you treat posting on CCS or twitter like its some kind of kind of chore. Like its so hard to just type things or search for things. This isnt caring. This is just giving opinions. Its the easiest thing you'll do in your life.

They dont just have Schefter on to drop bombs but just to give his opinions as a guy who covers football. Im not sure what the point is to bring him up. He's a tried and true insider, as are a ton of those guys on the networks but like with all of them, you have to understand what they're saying as sometimes opinions get misinterpreted as prediction. Whats been talked about in this thread is simply just clout chasing, prediction porn posting.

If this is accurate, what a fucking mess. Maybe fire him, maybe not. Let him hire the coach and then fire him. Hire the coach, then neuter him. They are unbelievably terrible.

How can the McCaskeys be this bad after spending their entire lives learning about running the oldest football team in the world, what I'm sure they consider their birthright and heritgae?

They're the McCaskeys.... being idiots, is second hand nature to them.

Here's the thing - at the very least, this dude has a track record of this year and last year of getting things right.

Haters can kick back and say "anyone can say XYZ was going to happen!" yet they always say this after the fact, and not before. :smug2:

I think this guy has some legit sources around the league because he's been accurate. The fact that he hasn't tried to spin a couple of correct "guesses" into further notoriety or a career lend even moreso to his legitimacy in my opinion.
Literally "here's the thing" is one of the top three things that are said prior to saying a thing that might not even Literally be a thing by someone whomst is literally a certifiable NARCISSIST according to therapists and people whomst study and teach psychology it's literally something a ego-centric and certifiably actural narcissistic person whomst acturally has low self esteem but projects extreem selfish self centered personality says to people to try to establish a air of confidence but people whomst know this tactic know that the narcissistic person whomst is telling them a thing is here that needs to use that statement as a preamble to declare the thing to be the only thing to be considered is only saying it because they acturally lack confidence deep down and do not want to be challenged because when they are they get enraged because they are acturally extremely fragile in their self confidence and self worth.

By the way narcissistic personality disodor is literally incurable and not treatable I had a gf whomst ex bf was a certified narcissist and he would begin every sentence in a argument with "here's the thing" or "the fact of the matter is" and would beat her physically when she acturally had facts that acturally contradicted the matter of his facts or when her thing was the actural thing versus the thing he said was the thing.

I will say... it does sound incredibly like the Bears to basically pick their HC and then allow him to determine if the GM sticks around instead of having the balls to make a move themselves.
My dark horse candidate is Arthur Smith - look what he did for Fields!!!!

Give me a boss HC whose GM is his paper boy like in San Francisco. The Bears haven’t tried this yet so why not? Fire Poles you can’t have a lame duck GM trying to hire a coach and making decisions in a desperate attempt to win now.

Which guy is that?

I think everyone would want that, but it requires having a coach that can do it on the market. Like Ben Johnson, who has never been a HC at any level. You're not giving him the reins to the whole org.

Why not? Is he the top guy for HC? Then go get your players, sure the GM helps and works with the coach but if you believe in Ben Johnson or whomever get the players they need.

Kyle Shannahan was never a head coach either.

What he is “reporting” makes sense and I believe it’s the right approach to take. Williams and the offense is the #1 priority. You bring in an offensive minded HC for that reason. Bring in someone like Vrabel or Flores, chances are the OC position is a huge question mark. I’m sure the Bears will still mess up the hire

Although you are my favorite of my alts, I have to disagree. I would rather have the Bears give the reins of the organization to Ben Johnson rather than keep this division of power between Johnson/Poles/Warren. I don't think any of the other NFC North HCs had previous HC experience, yet it seems like their organizations went "all in" to some degree with the inexperienced HC and let the HC mold the organization. The Bears always have these petty power struggles from within.

Ben Johnson signalled through the media that he wants stability and alignment with a GM. Bears are signalling back that if he brings his guy because he doesn't like Poles, they will play ball. The dance has begun.

I am a great alt, thanks for saying. You are really coming around as a host.

IMO the difference is that the GM kept the usual power in those other situations, at least for talent acquisition and other normal GM functions. None of the HCs came in as evaluators, contract guys, etc. That is just too much work for a new head coach in most situations. Personnel decisions are always somewhat collaborative, but in all these cases the GM hired the coach and retains a lot of the power in the org.

No it is not @remydat it is a white boy not from the islands whomst has tear-drop tattoos because it makes him think that it makes people think that he is a gang-banger or rapper but he is just a trashcan person whomst sells Molly at clubs and it isn't even premium pure mdma but rather a basement blend that is literally stepped upon with amphetamine and ketamine and probably is lethal if you took more than a few doses inside of a 24 hour period. If you ever see a guy with multiple tear drop tattoos at a Chicago club whomst has braids and a septum ring and pierced nips selling bad ecstacy don't buy his pills they are trash and he is trash.
