The Cardinals face Paul Skenes, who allows one run on two hits through eight innings and the Cardinals walk away with the win even though they started Lance fucking Lynn on the mound.

The Cubs allow one run in nine innings and take a loss.

I don't expect the manager to account heavily on the W and L column. But at the very least I expect him to argue with an ump when the strike zone is lopsided in the opposing teams favor. He doesn't do jack shit other than stand there like an idiot.

He's going to be disliked quicker than Boylen if he doesn't at least show some fire.

Lets face it.. Our group of hitters are pathetic bunch, How many times in the past, and in present time batter with two outs is going for the fences instead of just try hit over infielters head for a base hit and drive run home. Did those hitting coaches ever watch how Rizzo changed his approach when hit was a must.. The same exact this happened last year as well. Why Morel is DH-ing? Another thing , replaciny Rossy, and overpaying in the process help the process? Do anyone see improvement? I don't want to hear about injuries, those thing do happen and every club deals with them..

I agree. This is what happens when you put together a team of complimentary players together. They are nice players but none of them are at that level that you can build around.

Let's a ball get away after a stolen base without a throw, and it leads to a run.

Why not just put one of those "pitch and catch" things back there? It fields better and hits as well.

I'm stunned that people are still watching this shit. What's even more shocking is the idiots paying ML prices at Wrigley Field to view a flawed product....near 40 grand every game. I would imagine a lot of those tickets were bought in advance....but not all of them. Two really bad baseball teams in Chicago....so sad. I'm not a White Sox fan but I'm taking their mentality....if you are gonna throw a shit show party....don't bother to invite me.

The streak rolls on....no Cub games viewed since the end of May.

well, i suggest you get on a hill about 60ft 6 inches away and throw into a box that is 17 inches wide and roughly 3.5 feet top to bottom lol

I was thinking that they are looking a bit more alive over the last few games. Took a few to get over the deadline distraction but good run right now.

Give it a week.

Teams to watch are Azl 58-51 (Beating Pitt so don't matter who loses here)
SDP 59-51 They are on a 9-1 run and that is what it would take to get the Cubs back in it.

They sweep this series puts them at 56-58 and STL 56-56. So inching up. It is possible as long as we get good starts from Taillon and Steele vs the shit shows.

LOL. I would love to see it. But I'm not holding my breath. Hoyer allowed way too many early season losses by not addressing a brutal bullpen. The pen appears improved now allowing Counsel to do his thing but I think its too late....no room for any problems at this point.

Oh, about the dufus mailman....he might as well put everyone on ignore. Only time he gets a response is when people laugh at him.
