Whoever spoke up is not just speaking for themselves. They are speaking for the majority of the locker room.
People seem to have forgotten how Caleb told the veterans that they needed to clean up the locker room, and Montez Sweat was “suspended” during training camp for supposedly getting “too rough” with Caleb.
A rookie can’t come to a veteran NFL team causing turmoil, and then perform terribly on the football field. It’s quite possible that the vast majority of the team dislikes Caleb Williams.

If it is indeed the majority of the roster and isn't just another of your made up fantasies then you obviously get rid of the QB. He probably still has some trade value.
But I question whether it was even 1 player let alone a majority. I don't care what reporter "broke" this story. It's BS enough to claim it happened but that it happened AND the players leaked it just doesn't happen. The players would be found out and booted.
If that's going on and the players aren't booted the team is lost, GM, HC and everyone else is fired and it's a complete rebuild again.

The point is that he has nothing to teach anyone. Nothing to do with how the opposing D views a QB as UDFA or vet.
What knowledge has he gained in three starts to teach the qb with 9?

The D doesn't care if the QB is a #1 pick or a UDFA. If Bagent can run the offense and be productive against NFL defenses, Williams can learn from that. The defenses aren't trying less hard against Bagent because he's a UDFA.
If Williams isn't putting in the time and has lost the vets, then perhaps losing his job to Bagent will force Williams to work harder. It teaches Williams that he hasn't made it in the NFL yet, if that needs to be the lesson. Sorry if this is too complicated.
