Fields never had to do anything at OSU other than lob the ball up to the 1st round draft pick who was running in a straight line.So we have 2 QBs. Probably somewhat successful in college.
They come to the NFL and suddenly can't figure out how to throw the ball. But then there's more, Trubisky was the consensus #1. Cutler was a former pro-bowler. They also came to the Bears and forgot how to play.
Maybe, just maybe, it's not them, it's us.
And just maybe, as long as the Bears are unwilling to have a complete offense it will never matter who the QB is.
Trubisky was not the consensus #1.
Cutler was always an average QB. His pro bowl year he was like 7th alternate in the AFC.
Am I missing something? Did these guys go somewhere else and then do well? Or do the Bears place too much emphasis on flash plays from their QBs and not enough on reading defenses and being consistent with their passes?
