Brouwers Dad is fine, I talked to him for awhile yesterday morning. Kopecky goes with Hossa so there's the answer to your question. Once Q gets something in his head no one will change it but him.
Good to know about Troy's Dad. I just don't see what he's done to get in the dog house, or why Q doesn't have the faith in him. Just doesn't seem he is best utlized in a limited 4th line roll. I have to be missing something though.

As for Bickell--I don't follow the hogs too closely so wasn't sure about him, but he does seem to get it, and that hard work you mention is paying off on the score sheet. Good to see a guy make the very most of his opportunity

That was after they went after Hjarlmarsson. Once Hjarlmarsson was mauled both McCreary and the other doof raised their arms. It was the first thing I looked for once I saw the collision.
Sorry, the arm is up and hammer is just getting up after the hit. Hasn't been jumped by anyone yet.

Then you have the view from the other side of the ice in which the arm was up and Hammer hasn't even gone to the ice yet.

Kopecky is a good compliment to Hossa and Toews - on the ice. I give a rats ass who hangs out with who.

He gets the puck to Marian or Toews - and goes to the nets/corners. Hossa has always been a player that wants the puck on his stick alot, and I'd rather have him or Toews with it. Tomas is good around the net creating traffic and is a very good positional player. He can be what Holmstrom is in DET. Nothing was worse than last year, when Byfuglien was with Toews or Kane and he wouldnt give the puck up, but try skating all around the zone - rendering Kane useless.

Kopecky has 3pts in 3gms and has been the best forward going to the front of the net/screening - creating open ice for Hossa and Toews.

Not trying to take away from Kopecky, just saying I think Brouwer does as good if not better job of creating space, getting the skill guys the puck AND has a better shot so when Hossa or Toews dishes it over, can pick a corner and bury it (haven't seen that yet from Kopecky.-although tis early-granted) Other than being tight w/ Hoss though, I don't really see what Kopecky brings to the table better than Brouwer--maybe a touch better in front? More willingness to go in the corners/slot? Is that perhaps what I am missing? (not trying to bash 82 Just opening it all up for discussion)--THANK GOD the NHL season is back in full swing--LOVE talking hockey!!

How many times does he need to see Skille and Bickell play great on the 4th line while Kopecky struggles or fails to score on great chances on the first line with players as skilled like Hossa and Toews? I could kinda understand if he played great with Hossa, but has that really been the case? I think this eventually gets changed, just hopefully sooner than later. It's just not playing to Kopecky's strengths or Skille's. Same thing for Pisani/Brouwer, seems like they got a few guys in the opposite roles they should be.

I was always under the impression that when/if Skille was going to be called up for real, he wasn't going to be a fourth liner because that would be a waste of time for him and the entire team. It doesn't utilize what he can do at all. But even in that role, he's been great, and it kills me to see what he can do playing with Sharp or Kane or Toews or Hossa for an extended amount of time on the ice. I want to see what he can do. I already know what Kopecky can do, he's more of an asset playing with Bolland on his line.

I agree with this.....I have liked that line since the playoffs....they work good together. Although I want to gag on the whole Holmstrom comparison....can't stand that ******. I am really glad that Leddy got his first last night, but I hope they send him down to Rockford to "season" him a little. Kid has potential, but not yet. And sorry, flame if you want, but Crawford scares me bad.......he looks lost.

Your like the boards own Greg Brady.

(The episode where he takes a picture and proves the guy was out of bounds)

And yes, I know you didn't take the picture above.

I thought Crawfs played really well at during Buffalo's PP at the end and the minutes leading up to it. I'll take that kind of clutch performing out of our back up any day. Not exactly saying i want him in game 7 of a cup final, but he looked solid and (hopefully) will keep getting better--it was only his 5th NHL game, right?

If I was there, I would have gotten a better picture. RK just doesn't like me hanging around since I keep taking pics of him.

LOL! I could have sworn it wasn't and that's Mcreary. Maybe the other guy didnt raise his until Hjarlmarsson was attacked. Q's comments on the hit were interesting. I'm bias so if I were a Sabres fan I'd probably call for suspension. Will be interesting.

Preaching to the quire. Q is stubborn. Not to mention Kopecky has always held Hossa Jock. They do everything on the road together so I only assume that works for in Chicago too.

And the way Hossa is playing if that keeps him Happy, please DON'T **** with it!!!

All valid points. I will add from the Olympics on Kopecky was one of this teams strongest forwards last year. Both in play and production.

Kopecky/Toews/Hossa has been our only consistently productive line, why change that?

If anything I'd like to see

Kopecky/Sharp/Hossa

Bickell/Toews/Kane

Brouwer/Bolland/Pisani

Stalberg/Dowell/Skille

Obviously some of those lines are interchangeable and in no particular order.

I'd change Skille and Pisani.

Stahlberg needs to show me some Hands, SOON! He had at least three chances last night created by his awesome speed. Now FINISH!

Slightly OT, but I thought McCreary was supposed to retire.
