A-Ram needs help to keep it close around May. A-ram has always been known to be slow starter. I want to see you hit HR when its 50 degrees or lower and wind blowing in every damn day.
I understand the weather affecting Ramirez, though after 9 years I would hope he could make adjustments to get off to an average start.

I'll get on Pena here too for not driving runs in as well when needed. It seemed like Barney, Castro, and Soriano were the only 3 who showed up on offense in April this season.

Fisch isn't a baseball player. :lmao:

So he's a slow starter and a slow finisher too, huh?

I understand Fisch isnt a baseball player lol....im just saying its tough to hit HR in April and May at Wrigley. Its really easy in June-AUG. Tough in SEPT most years. So part of reason he has tough starts and maybe finishes is casue of WRIGLEY! Think about it. There has been tons of players, GM's, and managers over the last 103 years. The 1 thing that hasnt changed is WRIGLEY. So when does it become the place the team plays in fault? Im just saying its really tough to build a team in Wrigley. Need fast players in April, May, Sept and OCT if you make playoffs, while need power hitters June-AUG.

The funny thing is that with all this angst about Pena's and Ramirez's numbers in April the Cubs were actually still in it at the end of the month with a 12-14 record. The wheels didn't really fall off until the end of May when they did start hitting.

Balance is the key. A well-rounded team is what you need to win. However, great players can and should adjust to their surroundings. My teammates and I did in high school. If we could, I'm sure Ramirez could as well.

I think we all agree Cubs have many holes to fill. I just think making another hole at 3B when A-Ram is a top 3B is just not smart. Again if Cubs want to come out and say they going young GREAT! But they havent and Ricketts already made comment how teams can turn it around fast. Im sorry to turn it around fast you cant lose one of best 3B in the game and replace him with NOTHING! There is no other options on FA market. There is NO kids ready to play and make impact

Lol missed the point completely.

You just cant make the Wind Blow out if ur A-ram. He did hit .290+ in April and May. So he did make adjustment. He realized ball would not go out so he go his hits.

It's funny how Ramirez gets every excuse in the book, yet Tony Campana is already written off as an OF option for the future.

He doesn't need to hit HRs all the time. Put the ball in play, draw a walk, get on base. You adjust with what's going on around you.

Should I do what you did when I made a similar comparison and LOL at you comparing Aramis Ramirez with Tony Campana? Or can we just agree that it has no bearing on this discussion about whether Ramirez hits when "it counts" which the definition of that changes to fit this "number-gather" theory.
