I will never understand why even though I have put the OP on ignore I still see this thread in the list of threads on the first page and then clicked on it and read it and replied to it even though I thought I set my privacy and message-board viewing settings so that this sort of **** would never happen to me ever again, ever, but here we are and I think it's entirely ****ing Rubbish and now I feel like a complete and udder ignoramus, I mean, are you kidding me? Seriously? Shaking my head and cringing so hard I may have to go see an emergency dentist if that even is a thing!

There are a few I've ignored that I've learned never to open their post. Other's it's topical. Some only when quoted to get context. It's mainly to remind me to think before taking the bait (or to cut out the noise in IGTs).

I disagree with this suggestion. As hard as it is to see posters acting like internet thugs. Compensating by spewing emasculating insults rather than articulating rational debate.
Censoring them does nothing but create an [echo chamber]. Having counter opinions is important to keeping an even keel and not letting popular opinion skew your own.
Keeps you grounded.

Good point, Milton. The shoopster's been thinking about this thread. I don't think we want to resort to outright censorship, but maybe a bunch'a guys could organize themselves, maybe into a sort of message board "gang," and when they see a post from someone they don't like, they could all get together in the thread and go after the OP. Not with facts or anything like that, but they could make fun of him and call him names and generally derail any discussion they don't like.

They could even give their group a name, maybe something connected with The Bears in some way. Like, for instance, they could call themselves "The Soldiers" . . .
