Since this is Z FA year he needs to pitch well. If he pitches well you trade him at deadline to get players back without spending 10 mil + for nothing

If that's the case with salary, yes let him stay and pitch. But if KC will make a good offer for them takin' on almost the whole contract, I say go for it.
